Dunleavy killing the Bucks. Also, MCW should be nothing more than a backup point guard, at least for now.

I remember people saying that the Celtics in 2008 didn't look like a title team, when they went 7 games vs. the Hawks in the first round.

Great teams sometimes struggle in the playoffs, but usually talent wins out at the end, and the Cavs have alotta talent. I would not bet against the Cavs this playoffs. Only a west team can beat them imo.

We can't call this Cavs team a great team. Great teams don't struggle to be a .500 team throughout most of the first half of the regular season or finish the season with the fifth best record or have their supposedly second best player not know what his role is. At least the 2007-08 Celtics finished with the best record in the NBA, blew out a lot of their opponents, had 3 future hall of famers and a top notch coach.

Well yea, I would take the 2008 Celtics over this Cavs team. But I just don't think if a team struggles in the first round reflects that much on how they will do the rest of the way. Star players usually wins in the playoffs, and the Cavs have more of that compared to any other team in the East. Depending on who they are matched up with in the finals, it would not surprise me at all if the Cavs win the title. They should be a top 3 candidate to win the title.
I am not just evaluating them by just their performance against the Celtics. Throughout the entire year they haven't looked like a team that will win a title.

1) A title contending team manages to still win games when their best player is out.

When Lebron was out for some time this season, the Cavs could barely win a game.

2) A title contending team is a team that plays top level defense.

I don't think the Cavaliers even finished in the top 10 in defense.

3) A title contending team has more than one of their best players being defensive minded.

Irving and Love are not known for their defense.

4) A title contending team is a team that can go up against any team despite the conference they play in.

I don't think the Cavaliers are good enough to go up against Golden-State, Memphis, Houston, LAC, or San Antonio in a seven game series.

Do I think the Cavs are good enough to come out of the East? I don't doubt that they can beat the Hawks or Bulls in a series, but if they made it to the finals they would be exposed.

I hate how some people during the games don't wear the playoff shirts. Just wear the damn shirt! I want to smack em all.

I agree with what u said. The east being so weak is a huge factor in why I think the Cavs are a good bet to win the title though. Only a west team can beat them to me. Looking at the teams out west, I say the Spurs have the best shot to beat them, even though they are old as dirt, they have that championship experience. GSW seems like a team that is still too young to win a title. Experience does factor in when winning a title, and Lebron has that experience. Memphis I don't see even getting to the finals, Clippers might have a shot, I don't trust Blake though. I would love Houston's shot vs the Cavs if they had some of their players healthy, but unfortunately they lost their starting pg, and I think Irving can be able to abuse their pgs.

1. Spurs
2. Warriors
3. Rockets
4. Clippers
5. Grizzlies

Is how I rank the best team to beat the Cavs in the finals.

Looks like we need the NBA to rig the draft for us this year since all of the teams that they rigged it for in the past 7 years are in the playoffs.

Middleton was relatively quiet the whole game, but made his mark! Good sign that he's always engaged!
