Kosta Koufos will be an unrestricted free agent who's looking for a starting role. It makes perfect sense for the Knicks to go after him. He's a cheap traditional center that can score and defend.

I would rather take him over RoLo because he's a better scorer. Dude can easily average 15ppg, 10rpg, and 2bpg. I can't believe some people are sleeping on him.

Where do people think Rondo will end up? I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about him landing in NY. Has he become a guy teams want to stay away from?

Towns/Okafor, Lamarcus and Rondo would be a pretty upgraded summer on paper..

I see the following as possibilities:
Kings
Magic
Mavericks
Rockets
Bucks
Cavs though I dont see a workable trade

rondo is a ball dominant guard that can't shoot from outside and can't get into the lane anymore. He is a horrible fit in NY

watching the Rockets, what you guys think of Josh Smith? i don't think that Rockets will able to pay him big money next season. If we draft Okafor, he can be a good PF next to Okafor, plays good defense and can shoot to stretch the floor. plus he may come within our price range.

I'd rather pay Koufos $7 mil a year than Asik $10-12 mil a year (although Asik's advanced stats might've hurt his value a lot). Although I think if Robin Lopez is an option for $9 mil or so a year, I'd take that (lower risk, albeit lower reward).

No matter what big FA shows interest or who we draft, we should be aiming to sign Koufus and Green. Some rim protection and perimeter defense will go a long way towards the win column. Prob could be had for around 16 combined. Mix in Millsap or LMA, plus our pick, and it's a good core to push for the playoffs and sell FAs on in 2016.

We'd have to move Calderon to fit in LMA, but that might not be so difficult this summer.

I hope Melo at least thinks about this and other injuries before he call Love to visit. I know they are good friends but Love is injury prone and not a great defender. Still be a quality pick up though. I keep saying that abot players, quality pick up but dont want. Maybe Im crazy

They took Chandler back so it's not that much of a stretch.

chandler is a serviceable center who had 1 year left on contract. not an old washed up pg who has 2 extra years left.

Nah, when there's that much money at stake, you sign on the dotted line, especially on your first contract extension.

How desperate is phil for picks? Celtics looking to unload one. If draft is deep, and how luck with FA looks grim (like how it always turns out), would it be worth it to take on wallace for the pick? If so, how?

Phil has put a premium of free agency so I doubt he kills it by taking on Wallace. Specially for a non lottery pick.
