His jumpshot kind of looks like a mix of Kawhi and Ariza. I have little doubt he'll be at least a decent outside catch and shoot player. The next step will be shooting on the move and off the dribble.

As someone that still projects him as our pf of the future..... if he can hit the catch and shoot at a respectable rate.... I will be ecstatic. It's only less than a month after a season and he's putting in work. muscle memory is the first part of getting the stroke down.... and then it will provide more confidence when a hand is now in his face. And if he can do it off the dribble... "PRAISE THE LAWD.... ALLELUIA!"

Gordon can be a lot more than a catch and shoot and defensive specialist. The kid is lightening fast and should be taking it to the rake on a consistent basis.

Got to bulk up a bit though, but not too big that he loses some mobility/agility. Need to get a bit stronger so he'll be able to take a bit more punishment in the post.

love that AG is working on his shot. he needs to get the speed of his shot up, though. he still takes a long time to get his feet set and bring the ball up.

That will take time! He is working on fixing his jump shot, then comes the speed! :D

In terms of body type ONLY, who in the NBA do you think AG should build up his body to be like?

maybe KG? not overly big, but strong enough to play in the post but also still mobile.

According to draftexpress... KG was 6'11" 217lb (now 253ish). so there is definite hope for gordons 6'9" 220-225lb. I have definitely heard about both of them having that "wiry strength" and strong bases.

if by the heavens he is 6'10" 235lb by the end of the summer.... I would be the happiest person ever. haha

Blake Griffin? :D

This is the obvious choice to hope for from a playing style but Blake Griffin as an 18-19 year old draft prospect was an inch taller and 25 lbs heavier than Gordon is today.

Can Gordon add 25 lbs without sacrificing a bit of athletic ability?

KG? Terrible comparison, AG is nothing like him
I understand the Blake comparison

Blake Griffin? :D

Coming out Blake had an inch and 28 pounds on AG, but Aaron's reach is longer and they have the same standing reach. AG with the higher max vert. They really are fairly similar. Blake's first year he was 22, AG was 19. I think AG will naturally bulk up as he ages, no reason to force it.

While we're at it, why don't we just wish for him to grow 4 inches, gain 80 pounds and turn into Shaq?

AG has the potential to be a superstar. Will he get there? Who knows?

I am not worried about AG. The kid understands the game and has the right attitude and mental make up. He has the athleticism and is skilled. He needs experience, practice and staying healthy. He is gonna be a really good one. I worry more about guys like Harkless who have the athletic ability but don't seem to understand the game or have an identifiable skill set.
