Game 3 of Maccabi-Fenerbache series starts in an hour, if anyone interested... I expect Fener to sweep the series, but we will see.

Great instincts, passing skills, court awareness and basketball iq. He could be 5'10" and would still be an elite Euroleague guard. Easily one of the best rebounders in Europe. Honestly there isn't a single thing he does below average. Well maybe his post-up game is below average but has so many offensive talents that he rarely needs post-up offense anyways.

Working with the best coach in Europe for a second year, he has maturated immensely. Last year he was a little out of control, trying to win games by himself, and not really fitting with the team. This year he is the leader of the team without forcing the issue. That being said I don't see his game translating just as well to the NBA. He will be a classic case of tweener forward, slow for guarding sf position and not physical enough to defend NBA bigs.

Fenerbahce would love to keep him as long as possible but he will probably be playing for the Timberwolves next year.

I rely on this forum to teach me about the international game because I know so little. Thanks for this well-written post. If he does come to the Wolves, I hope you will join our bandwagon! We don't have a lot of fans (yet) but the few we do are incredibly loyal and can't wait to cheer for a winning team again!

How is he mentally as a player and off the court? I think that is very important for NBA success. Many Euros have the talent but aren't mentally suited for the NBA.

He is professional basketball player. Proven winner at highest level including Eurobasket, FIBA World Championship. That is all we need to know about him.

How does he project to a good NBA team? Starter or rotation big? I'm not sure he'll want to give up being a star in Europe for being a bench player here.

Personally, I think he could start. Offensively there aren't a lot of holes in his game, especially as a stretch 4, he seems to be a pretty good rebounder in Europe and a decent shot blocker too. I'd worry about how he goes against the stronger PFs, but then again most seem to struggle with them.

Does he have tattoos of men from WWII era?

Follow up question: Does he share his beer with them?

Drinking and singing "Pray to God for Kosovo and for Putin's health" while sharing his beer with WWII nazi collaborators.
Anyone still wondering why he didn't make it in the NBA ?

Very competitive and a little cocky, as far as I've seen.

The only thing I'm worried about is his casualness on defense as he doesn't play with any kind of real motor on that end. Emotionally he is completely dead pan which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is reassuring seeing a guy show passion and emotion on the court. I think he'll be a great fit offensively regardless of who's on the court with him but defensively you may have to play him with specific players to cope on that end.

He is the Euroleague MVP this season for me, and he should the Wolves starting PF
If the Wolves put together a lineup with Rubio, Wiggins, Bjelica, Towns and some 3&D guy at the wing, watch out, those 4 fit perfectly together.

My main concern as for right now is his 3 point shooting. For a guy who is labeled a stretch 4, he is not that great of the 3 point shooter, a little below average. He is very versatile, and his skills are good enough for European competition, but I am not sure his versatility will fully translate in higher level. He will spot up more playing in the NBA, and if he is unable to hit those 3s consistently, he might not be very useful.
But thats a pessimistic prognosis. If we stay optimistic and say his skills will translate well, he shouldn't be worse than Mirotic.

Can Bjelica play defense in NBA?
