Wow, could you imagine a Curry/Wall backcourt - that would be a thing of beauty.

I'm happy with Wall but yeah EG blotched another trade/draft. The funny thing is that Curry really wanted to be a Wizard and EG still managed to screw that up.

Randy Foye + Mike Miller Or Steph Curry?

Post#1543 » by closg00 » Tue May 5, 2015 2:23 pm

GSW built a team around players EG passed-on and Meyers was named Exec of the year. Ouch!

#FireErnie ~ Because he believed Stephen Curry couldn't help us and Jan Vesely could.

Also remember, the Wizard worked out Steph at Verizon Center in June 2009.

Even if we took Steph, Flip wouldn't have played him until the gun incident with Arenas/Critt and then the blowing up of the roster.

:D #1 pick in 2010 with Wall.

Would be amazing even though both need he ball but at the very least we'd have an asset from 2009 and 2010 and both are franchise players.

Billy King is getting an extension with the Nets, Ernie is next.

Back-to-back 2nd round exists, changes need to be made in both coaching and talent acquisition. Randy & Ernie need to go.

Definitely agree on Randy. Harder to agree on Ernie because I believe the roster was good enough to win more games in the regular season and also advance another round, just was misused at times by a stubborn coach with no imagination or feel for the game.

But at this point I wouldn't oppose a GM change. We've proven that we have the core pieces to compete. Time to bring the rest of the roster and the scheme into the 21st century.

Go Wiz!

Ramon sessions sucks.

Yes wittman should get fired. He didnt do bad but our talent can do more. It took 6 games to finally put in seraphin when nene and gortart where struggling..I wonder what Humphries or Butler would of done if played.

Will be back in the playoffs next year hopefully.

Fire him so we can actually competently build a bench. No hope for anything past the 2nd round until we purge ourselves of this dumpster fire of a GM.

We will never have the bench that John Wall needs until Ernie is gone.

Proud how this team has battled, and in particular how much toughness Beal and Wall showed fighting through their injuries, but with the post season buzz pretty much over, I'm once again left with the feeling of what could have been if this team had a halfway competent front office.

Grunfeld has to go, and if Wittman were to go with him, I wouldn't shed a tear.

Just don't see Ted having the fortitude to do it.

He's said numerous times how eager he is to please and to be liked. Unless the evidence is overwhelming, he won't take the next, fairly obvious step, to allowing the franchise to reach the pinnacle.

Firing one or both of them would subject him to some public criticism. And he seems to care more about what people think of him than how well the team does.

The sad part is that those of us die hard fans who bleed with the team are the one's left most dissappointed.

Wall is turning out to be that generational guy that you can build a champion around. He may not be the very best player in the NBA, but he's the toughest, most loyal and hard working.

Short of getting KD, his best years may just be squandered.

There's no way either Grunfeld or Wittman get fired this offseason. Leonsis said they'd achieved their goals. You don't fire people who reach the goals you've established.
