1. Russell (if he manages to fall)
2. Mudiay
3. Cauley-Stein
4. Hezonja
5. Winslow
I'd love it if someone ahead of us took a shot at Porzingis and somehow allowed Russell to fall to us, HAHA. But I'm OK at #4. I really like Mudiay. Cauley-Stein is also someone that has been on the Knicks radar, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them take him as high as #4. It's a bit of a reach, but they'll know whether it's the right decision or not, come draft night. I say go with Mudiay or Russell, and use the cap space in FA to lure some quality big men.
Hezonja looks like a monster from the tape I've seen, and I think he might be a steal in this draft. I don't think he'd be a top priority for us, because of all the swingmen we have, same as Winslow. But Hezonja might be someone to look at, as well.

If those are the options, Mudiay and there really shouldn't be much hesitation, unless someone offers an arm and a leg in a trade.

I think its pretty clear its Mudiay at 4 or Russell if not

I could honestly see the Lakers being blown away by Mudiay or Russell, especially Russell, and thinking he's the next big wing star. And letting Okafor go and taking Russ or Mud. There are enough red flags with Oke that he's not surefire at 2.
I'm fine with Mudiay. I don't want Okafor to drop to us.

One thing y'all might do is trade down a little, maybe with the Nuggets, and secure Faried while having the chance at drafting Willie Cauley-Stein or Myles Turner. Both are the type of bigs who could flourish in the triangle. Turner is a smart dude.
Just a thought.

Interesting thing about this draft is that the two bigs could have great rookie years, but either guard could make a bigger impact right away and walk away with ROY. I'm not saying this is the case without seeing these guys play, but am just commenting on the development of guards vs bigs.

Is it possible considering how bad our luck has been when it comes to draft that all top 4: KAT, Okafor, Russell, Mudiay are all gone when it's our to pick? lol

I do think there is a high probability that the knicks take Lawson and the 7th pick for the 4th
Nuggs want done with Lawson and Mudiay would be a good replacement

maybe we do pass from Okafor but given how well our mgmt. scouts bigs that should leave you guys worried too if he fell to you. As for Mudiay, I've heard on our local radio that he has the most potential out of all the top 4 and is Westbrook like. His only weakness is shooting but when you look at Westbrook shooting % is not all that great either, his best attribute is attaching the paint and being unstoppable on the brake which I could see why Mudiay could be compared with due to his elite speed/size/athleticism. If we had stayed at 4th I would've been just as happy with Mudiay.

We can't go wrong with any of.
E.Mudiay--The type of PG Phil likes that can make plays driving to the basket and plays defesne.
J.Winslow--This kid will be either K.Leonard or J.Butler in two years and another kid that fits what Phil is looking for.
K.Porzingis--this kid is my sleeper pick. I don't think he'll be the pick cause i've heard nothing about him from any Knicks insiders but i really like this kid. He needs to add some weight of course but he has all the offensive game and he blocks shots and plays defense. Can't figure out why nobody wants him on here but i'd love to get him.

So the Lakers have Mudiay 2nd on their Big Board
So Eddy Curry 2.0 can still be had

Let me state that in no way am I saying that Mudiay will be the caliber of Kobe, but it makes me wonder.
What was the reason why Kobe fell so far in his draft? Was it because he was a poor shooter?
If Mudiay's criticism is his shooting, I don't see why that can improve. I do remember guys like Michael Redd who wasn't great shooters at the beginning become very good ones later in their career.
I mean look at Ariza. He drastically improved on his shooting when he was originally drafted as a defensive player. Mudiay can improve, too.

And he’s struggled mightily at the elbow, where he’d frequently get the ball in the triangle, shooting just 18% (8-of-45) from there, per Shot Analytics. (The Knicks handle the ball on the elbow an NBA-high 32 times a game, according to SportVU.) Winslow’s jump-shot inconsistency is similar to that of ex-Knick Iman Shumpert’s in that the nature of his misses—with air balls, or shots that miss the rim altogether—is more troubling than the actual percentage he shoots. Additionally, his 63% mark at the line is subpar for someone at his position.

He's not a shooter, his mechanics are terrible and he has no range on his three. Also, he's 6'4'', shorter than both Russell and Mudiay. He's going to have to play the 2 but he has a terrible handle.
What do you see in Winslow? Defense? Mudiay is one of the best defensive prospects in this draft. Mudiay is bigger, I would honestly rather play Mudiay at the 2 than Winslow. He provides everything that Winslow does plus refined pg skills, infinitely more potential, and can create his own shot.
He's 6'4" without shoes on and that's not how these guys are measured for their on court measurements. I think he's 6'6 1/2 with shoes on.

If teams think Okafor has a problem with his motor or will be too much of a pushover down low, I think he could fall to 4th. I don't think it's that much of a reach actually, especially with Lakers having Randle and also being prone to being wowed by a talented wing player.
Do not want that risk. But I think there's some minority but substantial chance Okie drops.
Remember his team made a comeback to win the championship game when his warmups were firmly pressed up against a chair. Teams and scouts were all watching that.

I agree. If Okie drops, it's a bad sign. And I think it's definitely possible. If Russell and Mudiay both wow people in workouts, then they'll see them as potential future wing stars and Okie's lack of D will start looking scarier. I think Okafor goes to Lakers if I had to guess, but I'd be pretty lacking in confidence about that guess.

At #4, if Okafor is there, you take him. His low post game is too good to pass up and our roster is not in a position to get choosy.
He can build up his body so he won't be much of a pushover down low and again, teams will have to defend him in the paint or he will score. If they double, we still have Carmelo on our team that can wreck havok.
Let's face it, all of these players have risks. If they didn't, they'd be the undeniable #1 selection.

Actually, yes there is a scenario that makes this possible.
One (or more) of the top 4 prospects gets a serious injury/red flag before the draft (ala Embiid and Noel). Said injured player then falls to #4, where we must either take damaged goods or go with a lower upside player, such as WCS or Winslow.
With our luck, I am expecting this scenario to happen.

2.5" difference with shoes on? If true, he's not wearing basketball sneakers, he's wearing pumps.
