I was going to put it in the Countdown Thread, but may as well drop it here. The undrafted Matthew Delledova is proof again that teams that seek-out hard-working young players can be rewarded sooner rather than later. While the Wizards scour the trash bin for about to expire players like Al Harrington, Bynum, Butler, & Sessions, Delledova was huge last night for the Cavs. Delledova is a 6"4 underrated SG and he delivered last night. The Wizards would have advanced had invested just a little more in talent instead of reaching for washed-up vets.

LeBron has added a post game since 2011. In 2014, LeBron was getting his offense but Miami couldn't slow down the Spurs offense. The Cavs are certainly a superior defensive team than the 2014 Heat. Or at the very least, the Warriors are not playing like a top notch Dallas Mavericks or San Antonio offense.

After watching John Wall for five years, it's actually sometimes painful to watch how slow Steph Curry plays. He just has zero explosiveness and urgency out there. That end of quarter lay up that he tried to execute was pitiful. Wasn't even close to getting it off. I'm conspicuously reminded of that slow ass lay up that Kyrie blocked in game one too. He's an incredible finesse player that is a wizard with the ball in his hands, but he doesn't have a top gear.

That's probably why it's so enticing to see Wall improve on his skills. You see the absurd talent level he has - even compared to the best players - and think how good he could be if he improves his skills to the level of the top couple of players. Then you have an all-time great.

Cavs are more determined to win than GS. Simple as that. GS even with all their exposure still had chances to steal it. They just threw them away.

LeBron himself was getting his hamstring worked on at one point. Being up 2-1 is great, but you have to wonder if they're going to run out of gas. If GSW plays like they did in the 4th for all of the next game, it'll go back to Cali tied and the Cavs will be exhausted. Still along way to go before we crown LeBron IMO.

David Lee can score on CLE's bigs but his defense is a problem.

Bogut needs to give them something. He and Draymond Green are only playing defense. Their offense has been abysmal.

Agreed. Bogut also can't run with Golden State in transition which is proving to be a problem. I wonder if Golden State considers going small with a front line of Iguodala, Barnes, and Green. Or simply swap in Iggy for Barnes to present more of a defensive challenge for LeBron- although Iggy himself hasn't been all that great either.

GS has pretty much wet the bed so far. Curry has looked like a deer in the headlights at times. At least he did start finding his groove late but he needs to get going earlier to give the rest of the team some confidence.

Their role players need to show a pulse. Barnes and Green were a combined 2-18 last night. I think the bright lights of the finals has definitely thrown GS off their game. Lebron has been there done that and the rest of their guys seem to be feeding off that.

Warriors looking soft out there. Cavs are just tougher and grittier. I hate to say they want it more but they really do look like they want it more.

Of course it doesn't hurt that Lebron is from another planet. Holy sh...

Still don't like LeTrav but gotta respect the job he is doing. That said, at the end
of game 3 with like a min left, Bron misses badly off the side of the backboard,
Curry grabs the loose ball, GS down 5, he dribbles downcourt and it looked
to me like he was gang tackled, had his legs taken out (by Bron), ends up on floor and the result
was a TO and game over. Not sure why he wasn't shooting 2 FTs with a chance
to cut it to 3 with ~ 50 sec left. Was that a legit steal?

I agree there were some bad calls. But the Warriors can't afford to keep playing from behind. Through 3 quarters, Golden State only had 55 points.

GS clearly needs to make some adjustments and get Curry better looks and or
make CLE pay for their strategy on him. They could use some bruising picks.

If CLE is romping, will we have a Haywood sighting?

Speaking of bad no-calls, I wish the refs would call LeBron at least once for using his off arm to push off when backing down his opponent or driving to the basket. Dude is big enough where it is hard to stop him...its impossible when he is constantly allowed to basically give a forearm shiver to bull his way to the basket. Shaq did the same thing.

While, I don't think the officiating has been slanted per se, the refs have let a TON go; the games have been insanely physical, and that has favored Cleveland. I would not be at all surprised to see an aggressive early whistle to curb the physicality. By happy coincidence, we may go back to Oakland 2-2.

That's a hell of a lineup change for the Warriors.

I don't know how the Warriors expect to keep Mozgov and Thompson off the boards, but perhaps it's going to pay off on other end of the court.
