Re: Finals MVP...Andre Iguodala?
He's been the most impactful player of the GSW.. If you look at it with stats he's probably n°3 or 4.. But when watching you know who's the key to the GSW wins.. D doesn't show up on stats, neither do the intangibles

You make no case for him...
He's played phenomenal Defense but lets look at the #'s
Game 1 - 15 Pts
Game 2 - 7 PTs
Game 3 - 15 Pts
Game 4 - 22 pts
He's averaged 14.8 pts a game and that's the MVP?
DONT LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON YOUR WAY OUT...
15 PPG isn't low lol, and it's FMVP not MVP, it's not crazy to win it without scoring a lot of points. Hard to explain to a Laker fan
Agreed but stop making it personal.
Anyway, Kawhi won it last year averaging 17.8 PPG
G1 9 pts
G2 9 pts
G3 29 pts
G4 20 pts
G5 22 pts
I'm so tired of the typical......

This is an important point, but I think it goes both ways. Iguodala's play making abilities allow Steph to play off the ball more (particularly last night). The number of open looks that Curry and Thompson enjoyed from running off screens last night made a big difference. Remember back to earlier in the series when Curry's pick and rolls were getting blitzed and pushed to the sideline. Having Livingston and Iguodala facilitate more of the offence and getting Curry open off multiple screens did wonders for their offence last night. There are of course a number of other factors involved, but I think that any credit given to Curry for creating space as a shooting threat needs to be shared with Iggy (and Livingston) for making it possible to get Steph open using different sets.
That's true, but Livingston and Iggy can't create off the dribble like Curry, which warranted even more attention. Plenty of times Curry had two, and even three guys on him. Also, I don't have the stats handy, but most of Iggy's made shots last night were uncontested. A lot of that has to do Curry drawing so much attention.

No he doesn't deserve it. His stats are way too weak to represent a typical Finals MVP, even if he's been doing a good job defensively and taking the toughest 1 on 1 assignment in the game in LeBron.
Curry is averaging like 24/5/6, not as efficient as usual but the raw averages are much better than Iguodala's 14/5/3 or whatever he's averaging.

*GREAT job
LeBron's 18-54 when guarded by Iggy this series.

Lebron is 18-52 and the point differential when Andre is on the floor is the highest by a massive margin. He is the only player stopping Lebron, and he has been the most consistent on offense (which for the record is more than scoring).
He is the FMVP and it isn't even that close yet. 3 more games to be played though.

He would deserve it right now.
But Curry will get it for sure on media attention alone.

Strangely enough there is more to basketball than inefficient points.
Look at the +/- and tell me your take. Or maybe who they are guarding.

Why do people keep saying Curry has been inefficient?
Game 1: 10/20 = 50%
Game 2: 5/23 = 21%
Game 3: 10/20 = 50%
Game 4: 8/17 = 47%
Outside of game 2, which was really bad, he has been very efficient. Those are excellent, efficient scoring numbers for a pg.
Iggy's +/- is higher, and is very good. However several factors have contributed to that, such as coming off the bench. In addition, Curry's +/- was 18 in game 4, Iggy's was 16.

Lot of players were unknown rockets with a GM like Moray. We had him in 2012 summer training camp but didn't make the final roster. At the time we thought he were just a Shawn Bradley of PG without range, glad he fit into GS system well (except for the part he turned the tide in game 1 & 2).

he has been the best player in the series by far...maybe not enough of a difference to break the 50 year trend of winning team getting the FMVP but its not a ridiculous idea

41.3% overall and he is averaging 5 TOs a game despite having many players that can space the floor, draw attention and create for themselves and others. Iggy is at 57.5%, 40.9% from 3 and is smarter with the ball.
And the impact on defense can not be overstated. Iggy is guarding the best player in the world and Curry is guarding what may be the least talented role player in the playoffs (Delly).

iggys individual defense on lebron is a little overstated.
50 year old jordan would shoot a better percentage against him. lebron doesn't have a reliable go to fade away or post move.

All true. However I was disputing the notion the Curry has been ineffectient this series. That isn't true. He had one game of very poor efficiency. The other three games he was very efficient.
In addition Curry is being targeted by the Cavs D, and rightfully so. Delly is not the only one gaurding him. The Cavs have made it very clear their goal is to not let Curry and Klay beat them. In fact, for stretches at the end of games, Lebron has been gaurding Curry. Mostly they have made guarding Curry a team effort though.
Iggy has been playing exceptionally well no doubt. He was asked to guard the best player in the league and is doing a fantastic job. However, Curry is being asked to shoulder a large majority of the offensive load and is also doing a fantastic job, with the exception of game 2 obviously.
