I'm still riding with Okafor through every other player's workout video, players reports coming out, etc. Jahlil Okafor is the guy I want Mitch to take.

The scoring would be intense...
Fill out the team with defense and spot up shooters.

Would be shades of Kobe/Shaq

Here's a totem pole

Kobe and Shaq
Kobe and Pau
Penny and Shaq
Shaq and Wade
T-Mac and Yao
Harden and Dwight
Mario and Jahlil

Not saying that they would dominate the league as 20 year olds in the NBA

But Okafor may be a generational good player for scoring in the low post.
Hezonja is one of the most unique and best SG prospects in a LONG LONG time.

Both of those guys could be top3 at their position (SG and C), positions of relative weakness.
Allowing the lakers to fill PG and PF (two loaded positions talent wise in the NBA)

SF would have to be adressed at some point. (free agency?)

I feel like a diversification of talent along the wing and post would be better than having two low post scorers (randle and Okafor)

I think Hezonja could go higher than people think, or he could slip thru the cracks (his team is still playing, and play in the Finals Friday!)

Or... if you want to keep randle, and are not high on Okafor, trade down out of 2, snag hezonja at about 5 or 6, and then draft Upshaw later and hope he can get his head straight.

What's so great about Henzonja? Everything I have read says he has a poor attitude.

Extremely athletic, can shoot, and has confidence to spare. So he's either going to be:

1: Tracy McGrady

2: JR Smith

3: Von Wafer (AKA owner of the GOAT highlight video)

I've seen his videos. He has some nice highlights but hearing about his poor attitude and how he can't work in a offensive system is a big red flag.

First time I saw him, i tuned in to see saric, and hezonja blew everyone away

I would have been estatic taking him at 5 if that's were the lotto fell

I don't mind Hezonja's attitude, the guy's just confident and wants to win. I do have concerns about his handle, which I guess is why he's projected to be more like Klay Thompson (with better athleticism) than Kobe.

At this point ill be happy with either Russell or Okafor. They both have their pluses and minuses, which have been analyzed to death. My attitude is that the draft is a crapshoot, and while I've been heavily internet scouting all year long, when it comes to two elite prospects like Russell and Okafor, we are lucky to get either one. I don't have one way over the other, so I think it just depends if our front office wants to try to adapt to the new NBA or if they want to follow the traditional route. I don't see us going after Mario or porzingis....just way too risky despite the high reward

Agree i change my mind on these two every day but I will be happy with either. Anything outside of that I would be a bit skeptical. Luckily I don't see Mitch drafting outside of those 2.

Im a gambler by nature this is like splitting 10s against a dealers 7....you could lose both hands, win 1 and lose 1, or get crazy lucky and hit it home with both guys.....worse case we'd be setback another couple of yrs, best cause we get a more athletic klay and a stretch 5, people say kristpah is weakon boards, i think randle can clean up most of thedefensive reb as it seems kristpah is pretty good at timing offensive boards

if he turns into klay thompson 2.0 and we get him (hopefully via trading Randle or clarkson and not drafting him with the 2nd) then we have done well

Magic don't have the lakers '17 pick cause the lakers owe their '16 pick to Philly as of now. magic have at best the lakers '18 pick, so lower in value and probably nowhere close enough to get the 4th pick

My man, Vucevic is untouchable. Best center in the East. He's a 24 y.o. double/double machine. 20Pts 12 reb

Whoever suggested that Orlando would give up Vucevic,#5 pick, and a future #1 for the #2 Pick may as well go back to watching Oprah or The View because he/she is wasting their time on the NBA.

Vuc competition consisted of gordon and Nicholson somebody had to put uo #s on that team....beingthe best C in the east is comparable to being the least fat guy at fat camp
