Active NBA players who played in the 90s
With Shawn Marion announcing his retirement, the list of active NBA players who played in the 90s is down to:
Duncan
Kobe
Dirk
Kevin Garnett
Paul Pierce
Vince Carter
Andre Miller
Nazr Mohammed
Jason Terry
Elton Brand (thanks, ken)
I left off Stephen Jackson, Jermaine O'Neal (thanks, ken), and Metta World Artest, who, while not officially retired from the NBA, are unlikely to see NBA action again.
Is my list missing anyone? Have I missed anyone's retirement announcement? Who drops next?

Add Artest and Jackson, and they quickly become a top contender for first place... in the lottery... ha ha ha.

EDIT: Manu and Jermaine O'Neal?

Damn- good call! What's funny is that when I was looking over the draft classes, I saw Brand's name and told myself not to forget to add him... but I did.

Gino was drafted in '99, but he didn't play NBA until 2002.
As for Jermaine, I'm going to add him to my 'not retired but not active' list, just because I don't see him coming back. He didn't play at all last season.

How the hell has Nazr Mohammed lasted in the NBA so long? He really stands out when you look at the other players on the list who are very accomplished. Duncan, Dirk, Kobe, KG, Pierce and Carter are all HOFers and Jason Terry was a top player on numerous title contending teams. Andre Miller was never a star but at least he was a solid starter for a long time. What makes Nazr Mohammed so much better than any of the other journeymen big men who started their careers around the same time that he did?

Ha, if you add Artest, you better add Starbury as well... dude is rocking in China.
Sign. When you can count the this list with a handful, you know father time is catching up. Quite likely after the next season you won't be able to put up a starting five (off Kobe, Timmy, KG, Miller, Terry, Brand, PP, VC).
EDIT AGAINNNNN:
Ray Allen to your limbo list.

I thought about adding him to that list, but I think we all know that door is closed permanently. Remember his live-streaming experiment? I confess to watching a lot more of that than I had any business watching.

Yeah, it's crazy, man. I don't know about you, but doing my little bit of research for that post made me feel old.

The only thing I can think of is that he's sustained his health because he trains smart and because he's never been a high-minutes guy, so he hasn't been worn down as much.

I am sure the OP will be banned once the mods are done wiping tears from their eyes.
Somewhat irrelevant to the thread, but is interesting nonetheless is that Pablo Prigioni actually went undrafted in the 1999 NBA Draft. It is pretty amazing that he managed to crack into the NBA so many years later.
Thanks for the list, I will see if I remember anyone, but you seem to have it fully covered.
Edit: What year was Rashard Lewis? I know he tore his knee last off-season, but I do not believe he is retired. (To continue off of the post, I looked him up and he was from 1998).

Re: Active NBA players who played in the 90s
Tim Duncan/Jermaine O'Neal?/Elton Brand/Nazr Mohammad
Dirk Nowitski/Kevin Garnett/Rashard Lewis
Paul Pierce/Vince Carter
Kobe Bryant/Ray Allen?
Andre Miller/Jason Terry
For the whole roster (I left off the Malice Brothers, because those bridges back to the NBA are burned so keep that in mind [though I must say that roster could use them]).
They would definitely fight for a playoff spot in the east as somebody stated (though it would all hinge on Kobe's level of play), but half of them would need a hip replacement by the end of the season. Pretty sad to see.
Who will be the last one standing? (My money is on Andre Miller, but Nazr Mohammad always finds a way).

Baron Davis is still not officially retired, and I think actually serious about coming back. (It's not gonna happen, but he's trying)
Same boat for Lamar Odom.
Other than that, your list sadly seems to be about it.

By saying Baron Davis you also reminded me of Mike James. He is currently playing in D-League launching his 10th come-back-to-nba campaign.
Wanted to add Wang Zhi Zhi as well, but after a quick search he is similar to Manu - drafted in 1999 but first played for Dallas 2001.

Jason Richardson came into the NBA in 2001.
