So you are calling for a Bayern Treble next year?

So yeah, if those are the things that matters to Geis, when it's understandable that he's not going to Wolfsburg.

Oh come on, that's what they all say. He would've said the same about any other club. I don't know why he went to Schalke, but that's definitely not the reason.

It makes sense dreaming about big stadiums and playing in front of many fans when you've played for a tinpot club like Mainz.

Well, I guess it makes sense dreaming about leaving Hamburg to be blessed with the opportunity of not having to play for a club with a management that rivals the Sacramento Kings level of incompetency.

Son, Calhanoglu, Tah, Öztunali....every semi decent player Hamburg ever had in recent years wants to get the hell out of the "great Hamburger SV".

Nope, it's just NBA 3.0

BTW: Gladbach signed swiss defensive allrounder Nico Elvedi of FC Zurich for about €4 M.
Stuttgart buys goalkeeper Przemyslav Tyton and midfielder Lukas Rupp(Paderborn).
Darmstadt signs midfielder Mirko Vrancic of Paderborn.

Do people feel like that's a fair price for Firmino?

22-25 mil. would've probably done it for anyone but an English team. It was pretty much clear he was leaving.

A team like Dortmund probably would've probably tried to lowball Hoffenheim offering 16-18 mil. if Tuchel really wanted him since it was clearly stated a while ago he is leaving this summer. :dontknow:

So the fixtures list will come out tomorrow.

Interesting what the opening game at Allianz Arena will be. What do you guys think?

My prediction is Leverkusen. Wont be Wolfsburg and Gladbach they've played in the last 2 openers. Sky obviously wont give away Bayern-Schalke and especially not Bayern-Dortmund.

Their board and fans criticize the English for spending too much money.

Javi Martinez, Benatia, Douglas Costa all way overpaid imo.

They've been terrible on the transfer market since Hoeneß stepped down.

How was Javi or Benatia an over-payment?

Benatia was really overpaid with 30 million euro. He only had one season with Roma which he wasn't superb.

45 million for Javi Martinez is a disaster lol.

Javi's an elite 6. His addition was huge in winning them the treble. The fee was high but he paid it off in his first season, even if he's been really injury prone the last two.

And Benatia was the second or third best CB in the sport last year. I know dominating Serie A doesn't mean much anymore, but he was exceptional. Unspectacular first year at Bayern but at the time of the buy it was a good deal in today's market.

Benatia is highly overrated. It seems they didn't teach him in Italy that the offside trap is sometimes used to prevent counter attacks.

what is the difference between dominating the serie A and dominating the bundesliga?
