I think Danny's plan was flawed; you need top picks not just first rounders .

If Ainge can draft Jarell Martin. I'll be ecstatic. Make it happen Ainge.

Wyc: Danny and Brad had Rozier in this range. Westbrook type speed. Probably the fastest guy in the draft.

Tried hard to move up. In answer to why a trade didn't happen: "We just about gave them the keys to the franchise in some cases." (So they did offer a lot according to Wyc, but picks are expensive now.)

Just shows that no one gives a **** about his "assets". A bunch of mid 1st rounders and 2nd rounders will never get you anything worthwhile.

Surprised to see Ainge make a comment like that though, he's clearly rattled. Realized his plan for the last 2-3 years was all for naught.

Wyc, not Ainge said this.

Either way. Surprised to hear something like that come out of the Celtics front office. Even if you are disappointed, you don't publicly say that you tried to trade the whole team for a Draft pick when it falls through.

I see more Eric Bledsoe potential than Westbrook, but for just a speed comparison I think you're right.

Bummed we didn't get Anderson at 28. Oh well.

It does seem that he can do that. Apparently a mediocre finisher, though.

Shades of Rubio/Flynn/Lawson.

So we may have a chance at talent in another 7 yrs or so.

Of course you draft for need, unless you feel like flipping the redundant guys for 2nd rounders after you instantly slash their value.

If he ends up being able to play Ainge will move guys to open minutes. I am liking the pick more after digesting it a bit. Glad he did not draft for need.

Okay, we can't take 3 more guys. Time to package a few of these to trade up, or trade out for future picks.

Maybe Danny called around trying to trade up and discovered a ton of interest in Smart, and thinks other teams value him above what he's worth..

Wait, what the hell is going to Denver if WCS is staying in SAC? They've literally got nothing else to trade.

Maybe McLemore?

Yeah maybe.. Or Lawson has very little trade value..

I don't think it has started yet, but you'd be on the brink of being called for goaltending if you blocked that shot right now.

I think it has certainly started. His percentages dipped across the board this season and he has absolutely lost some explosiveness.

I think LeBron's has the type of game that should be able to age ok. 3 year seems to be the right window where LeBron can still be the best player in the world.

Hopefully Irving and Love will be able to pick up the slack when he does start to fall off.

Spurs have Tim Duncan though. Celtics still need a Tim Duncan before middling picks matter much.

I'm not shook at all. I believe in Terry Rozier and he's been a guy on my list all season. Love the athlete, love the defense, think he can complement either Bradley or Smart in the backcourt, long enough to play next to Thomas as well.
