I'll happily take RHJ at 28, or trade up a couple to snag him.

Every year "can't believe so and so fell. what a bad pick. So and so is so much better and is a can't miss." Yet 4 years later it's 100% a gas to pull these threads up again and read them. Remember not getting exum or that kid in orlando? Yeah, nobody is mad we didn't get the 4th pick over 6th last year.

Should we tank in summer league? Yes or no?

There's a lot of Debbie Downers here, but I think I've seen enough to cast my official vote now. You're the biggest pessimist on this forum.

Nope. BannersOnly takes the cake. A pure ray of sunshine, that guy.

I have a bad feeling we take Jones at 28.

Fits the inverted offense concept.

Four big needs going into the draft: playmaking off the bounce, athleticism, shooting, and size. Rozier checks off at least two of those categories, and I think he probably shot the ball better in workouts which lead to the "reach". A Terry Rozier who's knocking down jumpers is a lotto pick.

And to irie: it doesn't matter where you're drafted. Once you are in the league you define your own destiny. No one is going to shy away from throwing max money at Dray, Jimmy or Kawhi this offseason. Rozier could be better than a couple of the PG's taken in the lotto. We shall see.

If he can shoot or not doesn't matter to me. They already have Bradley, Smart and Thomas none of whom are pure PGs. There was no need to draft another one. This HAS to be followed up by a trade, or it is a massive failure.

Oh, they're definitely making a trade.

I think that trade was interesting. I'd use that 31st pick on Upshaw. Worth a shot.

One need going into the draft: talent. High-end talent.

Looney, Upshaw, Harrell, Martin or RHJ. I'll be happy with any, but they are so unpredictable.

I've been told by some people on the internet that there is NO difference between the guy you can get at #9 (Winslow) and the guy you get at #16 (Rozier). Just focus on that last playoff spot.

I will admit I haven't paid as much attention to Winslow as I should but how good do you expect him to be? The problem with the Celtics is we had a lot of hard working role players but no all-stars or go to scorers above six foot tall. If we had Winslow on our team last year would he be someone who'd push us over the edge into relevance or would he be someone people would be clamoring to trade so that we could perhaps miss the playoffs and have a better shot at drafting the next Justise Winslow?

Lots of people saying lots of things.

Occam's razor, guys.

There is no trade, it was a bad pick, now we move forward unfortunately and press on.

BannersOnly wrote:Some of us tried telling people all fn season that mid to late 1st rders are worthless "assets" and are basically equivalent to 3rd and 4th rd picks in the NFL draft but now that it's clearly been proven that 16 and 28 aren't even enough to move up to #9 than waht do all the homers say now???? You guys going to double down on all these so called "assets" that Danny has in in his back pocket?????? His only assets are the Brooklyn picks. Period. All these worthless in season trades he makes for mid to late 1st rders are simply to stroke his fn ego and get the fanboys to massage his balls some more. Fn guy is overrated as it gets.

Who is this guy you want? What player did you love? Outside of Okafor, nothing that came after has been an incredible haul.

Sure, would have liked Winslow at No. 9. But, that's not worth an entire season.
