Here's a way to frame what occurred tonight.

Knicks fans wanted Jackson to draft for long-term upside and they wanted a point guard.

They maybe got that.

Porzingis has vast upside and Grant is being praised as one of if not they most NBA ready PG.

So for the 2 years it might take for Zing to start breaking out, Grant may play with the 3 year younger Mudiay for a couple of years before Mudiay begins to separate.

bleh, i'm aware of the limits of spending for a 2nd round pick. my point was the knicks don't have to worry about spending, period. pick someone else, then. i don't think this kid was worth 2 future second rounders when we have limited future picks as it is.

Wanted Mudiay and hope he' turns into a stud. But man... I have a good feeling about porzingis. Not your typical Euro, the kid has confidence, high motor, smooth jumper and some post moves. Forget the 2-3 year window, If we sign a good center to compliment him, i think he makes an impact his first year.

Apparently you're not. Teams now have a total limit on cash they are allowed to spend in transactions per season.

There are two separate limits, one for the cash a team pays as part of trades each season, and the other for the cash a team receives as part of trades each season.

If either we had used our cash in transactions this season already, or they had received the limit of cash, then cash was not an option in this trade.

You don't know what you're talking about, so stop complaining.

Still thinking about how Philly passed on a PG, we were so close to Okafor and Grant but hey we go to war with what we got
