We all knew Dez was getting an invite, Hes walls good friend. He has a chance to make the team. Roddy Beaubois on the summer league team too! Looks like the wiz are looking hard for 3ed guards.

As of right now we have:

Wall/Sessions
Beal/Temple
Porter/Oubre/Webster
Hump/Blair
Gortat/Nene

assuming Pierce bounces (likely) and White actually wants to come back... I'd entertain the notion of giving wells a contract as a 5th guard. I'd like to bring back Khem Birch and see him replace Seraphin as the backup 5. I don't really see where Roddy fits, but having a vet should help the summer team run some good O.

If we only bring back Gooden, and PP leaves, I can see white carving out some playing time if he plays up to his best case scenario. I hope PP comes back! I would rather have Roddy as a 3ed PG and 6th guard over all than bringing back a broken down vet or something like that.

I don' want gooden back. I think he is too inconsistent to play. I'd rather develop a young s4 then play gooden. What you see is what you get, and it doesn't really yield any fruitful results against good competition. I'm wondering if the Kansas connection will help us bring Alexander. Could use an enforce on the roster.

Kelly Oubre was the 2nd-most efficient isolation defender in the Big 12. Opponents shot 19% on isolation plays against him. from espn stats and info.

Chad Ford:

Kelly Oubre has star potential. But he’s got a lot to learn. Have to be patient. But if he puts in the work, could be a star.

Glad I waited 6 hours to get this news. Didn't watch a second of the coverage.

I'm glad I am learning about fasting and praying for my friends and family. I had a great day, for the most part, and this head scratcher is going to allow me to divest.

That's about the whitest guy I've ever seen in the NBA.

Don't read this wrong because I'm not bothered, but just made me wonder if people would react if someone posted something similar about a jet black dude named DeAaron Black.

You are right. Some people would probably lose their minds in that scenario. It's a shame. You can't even have a little light-hearted fun on the subject of race anymore. This PC climate is chilling.

My initial reaction is if they wanted SF I would of preferred just taking Anderson.

You mean "rebounds poorly", right? 9.5 per 40 minutes -- Oubre out-rebounds White! :)

Still... not a terrible pick -- especially given that the guy I'd have taken, Cliff Alexander, wasn't even drafted. Lets look back later and see whether that was a mistake.

He might only be counting starting bigs? because Drew made 23 last year and I know he's not counting PP.

If Drew and Pierce don't count, then how on Earth did we even make 11? Nene had 1, IIRC. Hump had no more than 1.

1 + 1 = 11. Duh, come on!

My fear with Oubre is he seems like he needs a really solid structure around him to succeed. We just aren't that far removed from knucklehead central for this type of pick to make sense. He may end up reaching his upside, but I would have been happier with a safe role player in Portis at 19. If Aaron White ever makes the team, it would be gravy.

+1 I am hoping we have scrappy guy lined-up for a SL try-out. Randy probably want's a vet though.
