The Clippers’ main focus now is on keeping Jordan. The season ended with Rivers denying reports Jordan and Chris Paul had a beef with each other. But other NBA officials not authorized to speak publicly on the matter said there indeed is a rift between Jordan and Paul. The officials said Jordan wants to be more involved in the offense and wants to be an All-Star, and he’s not sure whether those things can happen on the Clippers with All-Stars Paul and Blake Griffin.

The Bucks have been linked to a number of free agent centers. I'm hearing they also have some level of interest in RFA Enes Kanter.

Yeah, it's hard to know exactly what will make him decide on a team if say they all offer the same Max contract. But if Kidd can sell him on Milwaukee's core, I'd soften on my dislike of Kidd seemingly pulling strings to get his guys and making questionable trade decisions.

When I read that, my first thought is that one of these teams is unlike the others. It is nice to see the Bucks in on the biggest prizes in FA for once.

there is no point in taking on Hibbert for one season, just like there is no point in taking on Vasquez for one season.

I would actually prefer Kanter to all the centers being kicked around......IS Myers Leonard avialable? I am guessing Portland won't let him go with the other likely defections.

I was wondering if this was every gonna pop up again. Glad it did. Seemed like we had a lot of interest at the deadline but haven't heard a word about him heading into his RFA. My guess is you could probably pull him away with a decent offer and OKC would likely negotiate a sign and trade with us.

I'm fine with signing Kanter. Just didn't want to trade assets for him. Curious about how much he's gonna get offered though.

The centers we are targeting are hilarious though. Deandre and Tyson Chandler, and then Brook and Kanter. You don't get more different.

So do I - Kanter will cost less money than Lopez and has a (Last year)higher TRB%, TS%, AST%

With the starting 4 and 5 from last year likely gone and with Leonard's improvement in year 3 I don't see the motivation for them at this point.

If by the deadline he's putting up big numbers and they don't feel comfortable with the potential contract numbers they are hearing then maybe, but then do we really wanna pay Meyers big bucks?

I haven't liked Kanter either, didn't follow him in OKC but put up some nice stats (rebounding improved and added a 3 to his game?). With his lack of defense though hard to really break the bank on him (not close to a max guy even in current salary cap situation). I guess with Kidd helping Zaza to a career year, I could at least hope for Kanter to blossom under the system if they got him for the right price. Though if overpaying for FA talent, I'd definitely look elsewhere even for cheaper options Ajinca, Ed. Davis, etc.

I really don't want Kanter. I feel with Brook Lopez at least you've got a chance of him outscoring the opposition because he's elite on offense. I know Kanter is good on offense but don't see him in the same class as Lopez there.

What intrigues me on Jordan is whether or not Kidd can talk him into committing early to MKE. I do think Kidd has the potential to wow guys in the room into doing something emotionally that they clearly wouldn't do for 99% of the other GM's/Owners in the league.

I can envision Kidd getting Jordan all excited about Milwaukee and then Kidd doing his best Vin Diesel saying "Now I'm going to have you pick you your cell phone and call Ballmer, Cuban and the Woj and tell him you joining the Bucks is a done deal"

I think the FO and Dudley likely have a handshake agreement in place for him to opt out to clear enough cap space to sign a max player. Then he will be resigned to a 2 or 3 year deal using his birg rights. Same thing might have been discussed with Middleton.

I think the plan would actually be to have him opt out, then sign him to a cheaper but longer deal. Lowering his cap number and giving us a little more cap space.

But in all likelihood we have a trade to make.
