The physical gap between europe and nba still exist, but is closer and closer as the time pass.

You can be a very good player without be an athletic freak, and that's is more true for bigs.

Bjelica is a smart and skilled guy. I think he could be a good fit, I see him like a robbie Hummel on steroids. We should bring him with a MLE for 1 or 2 seasons and give him a try.

Towns-gorgui-pek
Kg-Bjelica-Payne

Trade AB.
Next season with Pek playing limited but consistent minutes, KG maybe retires and we can bring some free agent if Gorgui dont pan out.
Keep hummel like 3rd string SF.

Yeah, if we think about BBIQ the gap between AB/Payne and Bjelica is huge. I just want somebody reliable at PF, he doesn't have to be superstar, just complimentary player.

Towns potentially could cover up some of his defensive deficiencies. Not right away obviously.

I'm really hoping they can work something out and bring him over. Krawczynski made it sound like they had gauged trading him and a 2nd around the league to move up in the draft but got lukewarm response. And Barreiro hinted with his tweet that they're trying to dump Bennett to clear up some $ to sign Bjelica.

Hope so.

Maybe I'm wrong, but my interpretation is that they were trying to get up high enough to get Tyus. Trading Bjelica doesn't get them up high enough, so instead they're looking to sign him and dump Bennett.

ya I think it will happen ... Bennett out ... Payne stay ... Bjelica in

One other thing ... enough of this crap about how KAT will cover for weaker defensive players. That's complete BS and an immature dream world reality. He'll have his hands full on his own. You cant make chicken salad out of chicken **** ... if a player is weak on defense - he is weak on defense. Some players can help better than others, but no player can hide a weak defender.

Good. All of Flip's best moves were when his original plan didn't work out. Wanted KCP in the draft, ends up trading down for Dieng/Shabazz. Wanted to trade Love for Klay, gets Wiggins. Wanted Thad to be PF of the immediate future, gets KG. Wanted to compete for 8th seed, gets #1 pick.

Only thing remotely interesting on Indy for me is 11.

Martin, Bjelica, 36 for Miles and 11?

He is not a bad defensive player. Maybe he is not a great blocker, but he can block shots, defend the P&R and rebound. He will no be exposed, even if he dont play over the rim.

Here is a video of him, a resume of all his euro carreer.

Bjelica does make sense for them. West has opted out

Towns, Tyus and Bjelica and all it took was one extra 2019 2nd Rounder. Take a bow, Flip.

Pretty damn pumped about Bjelica coming over. Has been an amazing 18 or so hours.

This has been an unreal 17-18 hours or so since the draft started last night.

Cool vid, I think you can tell Bjelica isn't going to be a star in the NBA but I think it's also clear that he's most likely worth the MLE money he's after as well. If nothing else he'd be a great backup PF / much more capable robbie hummel but I think he will actually fit in well with this wolves team. We'll want to run and push the pace and that will create opportunities (for everyone of course) and Bjelica looks to be athletic enough to take advantage of some open space.

Still question if he can hold up on the defensive end but definitely think he's immediately better than Bennett or Payne all around so he makes us better and at th end of the day that's the bottom line.
