Sue for what? Hurt fee fees?

Realgm armchair lawyers. :noway:

Tortious interference with a contract. If you're told that you have to communicate with the attorney/agent, you don't get talk directly to the client in order to get what you want.

Good luck with that. You'd need DJ to say he didn't want to be contacted.

bran muffin from realgm can think for himself. GuyverX from realgm apparently cannot.

Doesn't really matter if Ramona Shelbourne is an ESPN writer if her source is anonymous. You can't treat anonymous rumors as facts. It's just stupid. I wouldn't have to tell you that, if you could think for yourself.

By the way, Chris Broussard is also a senior ESPN writer. Do you accept his "multiple sources" as gospel too?

I trust Broussard's rumors more than some poster on realgm at least. If you have more than 1 different source reporting it, chances are it's more likely to be true. But you can think for yourself so I don't have to tell you that.

So he's been kidnapped by the Clippers in his own home? They better foul him 1000 times his next appearance in Dal.

The fact that LA reps are reportedly not leaving his home despite DJ saying he's gonna stay is comical. Sounds like they don't trust him alone at his own home.

This is by far the funniest thing Ive seen in the NBA, ever.. Right after Bogut's invisible high fives. Clippers are so scared that this kid is so impressionable that he'll change his mind if he meets with Cuban and Parsons.

He's earned that mistrust though I guess

Cuban is going to utilize those mini-drones like in that video game Rainbow Six Siege, in order to find out where the terrorists are keeping the hostage, and relay the plan of attack back to his Maverick SWAT team.

Honest question, why does it matter who called who? The Clips are doing everything within league guidelines to keep a game changer on their squad. Isnt this the same rationale people use to support hack-a-Jordan? "Pop is just doing everything within league rules to give his team the best chance to win"...Clips are just doing the same thing

Because Fegan has a contractual relationship with his client, the Clippers are supposed to communicate through him and when you go around an agent/attorney like that, you open yourself up to a tortious interference claim. If Fegan decides to leave the money on the table, and won't agree to represent DJ if he signs, he's got a claim. Whether he's ultimately successful or not remains to be seen. But if he were to get past he pleading stage, and had an opportunity to conduct discovery, he could make things awfully uncomfortable for that organization.

No real reason for Fegan to do that.

If Fegan is still kept on as DJ's agent, he gets a cut regardless of which team DJ goes to. He actually gets more with Clips, because of the extra year and bird raises.

If Fegan is fired, he still has other clients to represent. Burning bridges with the Clippers might yield short-term satisfaction (and even then he may not win a case, and would have to spend money fighting it). But it would kill his prospects with the Clippers when it comes to pitching them his other clients. And potential clients would view him as having reduced negotiating power when they sign with him if he's only able to find deals with 29 out of 30 teams instead of all 30. And any other teams or players would have to think twice before doing business with him if there's a precedent of him suing them.

So, no, whether he has grounds or not, there won't be an court case forthcoming from Fegan. Bad for future business for him.

I don't Fegan is going to be eager to deal with the Clippers after this. I suspect that you're read of the power dynamics is backwards.

Absurdity. Cuban should just leave. This is an SNL skit right now.

Moratorium needs to go. What if this was all a charade by LAC to screw over the Mavs.

Team keeping Cubans agents out of house. Two more hours left on this episode of walking dead. Can the Clippers hold out the assault or will the Cubans break down the defenses. Hope the guys have enough food, water and ammo.
