to be clear i'm not shocked that Drake is winning this nor would I be shocked if there was the back and forth that we're clamoring for and Drake outbarred Meek. Been listening to Drake since Comeback Season so I know the talent is there. The shock registers with me in the fact that Meek hasn't said/done anything and this is HIS LANE.

Meek isn't gonna convert any Drake fans to Meek fans and he isn't gonna increase the amount of haters Drake has but by sitting there and doing JACK he's losing soooooo much creditibility.

How many rappers in Meek's lane would LOVE for Drake, DRAKE of all mainstream stars to get at them like this? Cats is salivating for this kind of shot and dude is saying nothing. I can't understand it.

I still think this is Nicki's doing but Meek gotta man up and let her know his name, rep, manhood are all at stake here and she gotta understand. The box CAN'T BE this good to allow this type of f*ckery to occur. Especially if the rumors of non-exclusivity of said box are true.

something MUST be done.

i for one personally was not shocked by that at all. I knew Com had bars like that and could bring it and being from Cali didn't see Cube to be as hardcore as the rest of the world did.

I do see what you saying though and the reference "makes Sense"

see what I did there?

Still can't believe he had to drop the Sense

I remember thinking Cube (and the West Side Connection) were being bullies picking out Common of all people (on a reach). When he came back and smacked Cube around, I was blown away. Dude is perpetually underrated.

i recorded that from my local underground radio show and the following morning phone calls were made to the appropriate fellow hip hop heads of mines and we thoroughly enjoyed that track at extremely high volumes. I made sure the knowledge of that beatdown was in heavy rotation amongst the rap listeners in my school with the disclaimer "I told yall Common was dope"

so i finally gave this a listen because im now in diss track mode and need to hear what's been said. I have no words to describe what that was.

All i know is if Nicki hits SB before Meek hits Drake that negro can't ever show his face again. EVER!!!

He'll be going the Mase route and be a man of the cloth. Remix "Amen" and take Drake out of it.

This meek mills should do something thats never been done before and record the worlds first apology battle rap track. Just say you got bad information, you was wrong, and im really sorry.

Please fooooorgiiive me

ooo ooo ooo

Please fooooorgiiiiive meeeee

aye aye aye

I was wrong along thats why I didnt do a song
I hadnt really thought about it until you came out so strong
I dont want to say who said what or who was involved
But I got the story straight after making several phone calls
Dont hold it against me man we all thought you was soft
Your name is drake...
Thats a cake!
Plus you make love songs
Some of your beats is petite
Punch lines weak
My name is Meek
I HAVE to pretend that im from street
No one really knows me as embarrassing as it is
I figured you would freeze up like and unfortunate kid
Found still in his crib
A victim of SIDS
Opps there I go again taking it too far
Making a fool of myself in a blatant attempt to become a super star
Really I should just become a hippy and live off nicki
What difference does it make now I just hope she sticks with me
Besides its always been in the back of my mind
I think you might have had sex with her a couple of times
But thats too much information
All this pressure of people waitin
I just want to apologize for putting you in this situation

Please fooooorgiiive me

ooo ooo ooo

Please fooooorgiiiiive meeeee

aye aye aye

SB sounded like the hurt ex boyfriend that he is with the **** bars he put in there.

I wrote Nicki's punchlines

I knew you guys were messing around the whole time

you're ugly and fat

I'm dating a better looking girl now

lets see how well she does with out me writing for her.

None of that sounds at all manly or face saving. Sounded like he did that whole track surrounded by his feelings, with heart shaped headphones on his ears spitting into a tear shaped mic shield, laying on the floor with a body pillow between his legs.

His camp need their collective @$$e$ whopped as well because somebody should have told him NO at some point.

He didn't sound like the hurt ex at all. He sounded like the dude that was minding his business and chilling until Meek threw some shots. Problem is that he's just not that good a rapper but he had some good ideas.

How you rich, famous, and a major artist and hating on little ole me?

The line "I'm in the back of her mind like a new ****" (the only good line before 3-4 minutes of struggle rhymes).

Calling him gorilla face.

Saying he'd never hit it like he did.

Saying I hope you go platinum because she don't deserve a scrub.

In every pic you look surprised all you do is stare/You out of shape anyway you should eat a pear. Hilarious in all the wrong ways.

Stop stalking me and accidentally liking my pics on IG (which actually happened) if y'all moved on.

Made fun of Meek's misspelled chest tat (Last of a Dieing Breed).

Both of y'all move on have you seen my new chick I'm winning (ain't that the truth - I love me some Nicki but SB stay winning).

Great ideas, terrible lyrics, bad beat, no flow. He'd have been better off Ghostfacing this song and just speaking on wax.

1 of the most "meh" rap beefs ever. Seems staged to set up a major artist rap battle with Drake & Meek.
Only reason people are joking Drake is because of his past history of not responding but now going 2 diss tracks in a row at a so called battle rap veteran in Meek. Drake never went at KDot, Pusha T or Common.

K Dot didn't really diss him. Pusha T cooked him and immediately went on every station to say it wasn't about him with an extra b***h move (even though Exodus would've probably been the best diss track possibly since No Vaseline if he admitted to it being a diss track) and where did you get that Drake didn't diss Common?

"It bothers me when the gods get to acting like the broads
Guess every team doesn't come complete with n*****s like ours
That's why I see no need to compete with n****s like y'all
I just ask that when you see me you speak up, n**** that's all
Don't be ducking like you never wanted nothing
Its feeling like rap changed it was a time it was rugged
Back then when a n**** reached it was for a weapon
Nowadays n**** reach just to sell they record"

I mean the whole she wasn't with you shooting in the gym verse is a diss to Common and its Drake's most widely remembered verse.

Drake jumped on stage after Common ducked him and called him out too. He only didn't come at Kendrick because he really wasn't starting a beef (notice only Jay and struggle rappers like current Jay came back at him), and I will give you Push but he seriously ended the beef with Exodus and New God Flow. Like seriously nobody wants any of that he spit heat on both tracks.

Push really comes with the bars.
Forgot about that shooting in the gym verse to be honest. Wasn't memorable, just trendy. But you got that 1, though I think "sweet" was harder than anything Drake responded to Common with & sweet wasn't even a classic.
With Kendrick, I could've sworn Drake never responded to when Kdot spit those bars in the BET cypher. "the sensitive rapper in pajama clothes" joint. That cypher was after Drake said in an interview that he don't really mess with or wanna collab Kendrick aside from the ASAP track they were on together after Control dropped.

It is what it is. He chooses his battles wisely I guess. He feeling himself, it's all good. I do thin "Back to Back" is way better than "Charged Up". Drake even used Meek's cadence & flow in between his own flow on some disrespectful ****.

He didn't even rap about Drake on Sweet. There were no bars on that song talking about Drake at all he was just calling him all types of mf'ers between the verses with no names. Then he only responded once with his version of Stay Schemin (the Canada Dry line is a classic but Drake's was better and I really didn't like Drake back then in the Take Care era).

I don't remember that about Kendrick. But I will say he didn't want it with Push but honestly you don't follow up Exodus. Notice people still say Ethered, that's because Drake never responded and he let it die. Exodus had career damaging potential and Push has been know to kill YM (I mean Mr. Me Too is about Wayne and it was a lead single).

Charged Up was weak though. Meek messed up by not releasing something before B2B. Now if he doesn't come with one of the 5-10 best diss tracks ever he's dead.
