Drake responded to Kendrick on the remix to "Sh*t" by Future. That beef never went anywhere because Drake basically "Charged Up" Kendrick.

No. I think Drake knew better. I said he gave a "charged up", not a "back 2 back". Kendrick actually has skills and would probably body Drizzy(sad face)....on the other hand Meek is trash. I have never heard a hot Meek line, like ever.
Lyrically Drake>>>>>>anything Meek has ever done.
Kendrick is a different story.

Anyone else here listen to Boogie? I got his mixtape the weekend it came out after hearing a lot about him being the next J. Cole-esque rapper to blow up (and hearing Oh My back around April-May) and I can say it's one of the best projects I've heard all year.

Gimme some highlight tracks to check out, I'm down to peep a cat drawing Cole comparisons.

Not much to go off he only has 2 tapes: The Reach and Thirst 48. Both are great and you should have both of them on rotation (especially The Reach). Here's his first song that got him recognized and the first one I heard:

From his first mixtape:

And here's the song that came on shuffle and made me ask if y'all heard of him:

Both tapes have a theme. The first was about the social media age and the second about the vicious cycle of the hood.

Oh yeah and his Sway freestyle will tell you all you need to know about him quickly.

"No disrespect Sway, but my homie ain't have the answers so he had to sell yay"
If he doesn't sell platinum one day I'll be disappointed.

after what he did to Moses Moody's name, I got DJ K. Perk in a Verzuz battle against ANYBODY

Rip Flex and Meek, their credibility is gone at this point.

Re: Official Rap/Hip Hop Thread IV
I will never be a fan of Drake but I can definitely say that gained some respect for him after this thing with Meek. I didn't like Charged Up but I think Back to Back is pretty dope.
But to address Drake's (somewhat) beef with Kendrick, I think there is no competition. Kendrick went at him and Drake stepped back. Kendrick went even further on King Kunta with the lines about rappers and ghost writers.

The situation with Kendrick and Drake is more like: let sleeping dogs lie. Kendrick might go in on some rappers subliminally but he has´nt gone in them directly, so even though Drake might feel those jabs he knows he will get bodied if he responds. So in his mind he is probably thinking; why risk anything if he has´t gone at me directly.
