I live in a town home. I enjoy it, no yard work is the super bonus, I'm a lazy ****. Neighbors are nice and keep to themselves, which I like. But all of a sudden the woman next door, maybe late 40s early 50s, has decided to get in full on brutal screaming matches with whom I believe is her boyfriend, maybe a decade younger, or at least he looks it.

I don't get in people's business, you stay out of mine and I stay out of yours. But holy hell it has become unbearable. They don't keep this **** inside where no one can hear. They do it on their back patio or their front porch at all hours of the night.

Every now and then they have a fight, like normal people (I guess), but this week has been BRUUUUTAL.

Last Saturday night: 2 AM. Wake my wife and I up with the slamming of their front door. And a "Well then call them, I don't give a ****." Then he gets in the car and floors it out of the property. I assume he meant the cops.

Sunday and Monday: Nothing major except a small argument.

Tuesday night: from 7:00-10:30. Literally 3.5 hours. My game room is on the second floor next to their back porch and they went at it the entire time, save for a few slamming of the back door and storming back out 10 minutes later. Best part was the woman asked sarcastically "Oh you think this is fun?" and he responds "Hell yeah I think this is fun, WOOOO HOOOOO"

Wednesday and Thursday: Pretty tame, I don't think the guy was there. I don't think he actually lives there.

Friday night: Well more like Saturday morning at 4 AM. They wake my wife up with what my wife says was glass shattering. I was more worried that a car was broken into or something. I peered out the window, but it seemed fine. They must have seen me cut a light on cause the guy goes "oh great you **** woke someone up." Next morning I go out to walk the dog and there actually is glass shattered all over their front porch and the sidewalk. Along with a single picture frame on the ground.

Now tonight: We are on 45 minutes strong on the back porch again. More than likely no end in sight.

I'm not gonna do anything, it's their deal. And as my wife said, I would never call the cops as a noise ordinance "because I'm not a snitch and I have no desire to talk to the cops." She was probably big on the streets in a previous life. Anyways this was more of just a vent because these damn people have annoyed the hell out of me for a week now.

meh, call me a snitch, but if the neighbours constant fighting/yelling is giving me the **** I call the cops. Anonymously if I was really worried about them.

To be honest I call the cops every time, and I don't care if they know about it. If you aren't comfortable with that then confront them and tell them it's messing with your family life and way of living.

I confronted an ex neighbor a few years ago for the same type of behavior in a polite manner and it mostly stopped.

And if they don't like it call the cops, call them again, and keep calling them. That's ridiculous.

**** smoke detectors. the one in the hall, just outside my door has beeped 3 times in the past 2 hours. Each time, two very loud beeps. I reset it the second time. Put in new battery the 3rd time. If that doesn't work, I guess means the **** thing needs to be completely replaced and in that case nothing will stop the beeps until you disconnect it from the ceiling, which means going out to the garage, cutting off power to hall, getting a ladder, all at 2AM on a work night. I **** hate smoke detectors. Nobody actually knows how these things work, so its just massive guessing game in the middle of the night while you are half-asleep. I'm gonna lose my **** if that thing beeps again. I really need to go to bed. I have a long ass day tomorrow at work.

I once called 911 in front of a roommate and all his party. I first tried to be polite. It was 3am and I had to work early. When I asked nicely, a drunk bitch pounded my bedroom door as soon as I closed it and layed down. She freaked out when I called 911 in front of her and called me a pussy. I laughed and said well, asked you nicely, party's over.

Reminds me of a time when I lived up in NYC and there was a domestic dispute in the apartment next door. It was between two apparently evenly matched gay guys and they were throwing each other and various things in their apartment against the wall we shared with them. We were seriously scared they were going to bust through the wall. Only lasted about half an hour, but felt like forever and I wasn't about to go knock on their door and ask them to chill.

I'm choosing to view this as Steve Reed mocking Cliff for his NASCAR coverage.

Ted Ginn Jr. made it clear he "chased a check" in going to Arizona as a free agent last year. Happy to be back where he is "loved."

I'm curious as to whether jdm has modified his opinion of Getts at all given the various offseason events (resigning TD, Cam, Olsen, hopefully Luke soon to be announced).

I own my place. If it continues anymore, I'll prob go the route with the HOA. See if they can do anything about it. Appreciate the feedback guys. Nothing so far tonight, but it is only 7:15, sun hasn't gone down yet.

Athletes heal at different rates – especially when comparing a 320-pound football player to a 6-foot-7 basketball player.

But the timeline the Panthers laid out for defensive tackle Star Lotulelei’s recovery from a stress reaction in his right foot is nearly identical to the one followed by Charlotte Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist last winter.

That shouldn’t be a surprise: Panthers doctor Robert Anderson, the renowned foot and ankle surgeon who performed Lotulelei’s foot procedure in January, also treated Kidd-Gilchrist’s stress reaction.

Head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion said the Panthers would take a cautious approach after Lotulelei experienced pain and came up limping Monday during the third training camp practice. Vermillion said Lotulelei would be re-evaluated in “a few weeks.”

Kidd-Gilchrist missed nearly a month last season after he felt a strange pain in his right foot during the Hornets’ west coast trip. After an MRI revealed a stress reaction, Kidd-Gilchrist took four weeks off before returning to action.

A similar recovery would allow Lotulelei to play in one of the Panthers’ final exhibitions. Charlotte Observer

(1) Hope Star gets healthy quick, Panthers really need him.
(2) If Panthers use the same docs as the Hornets, maybe that explains why JStew can never stay healthy :blank:

Hey, my hometown team in Hungary, the Szolnoki Olaj (Szolnok Oilers mainly) just signed Aaron Craft for a contract. It's huge :) We had former fringe NBA players too, but mostly older, slower ones, and the USA players are usually selfish, showman-style studs here in the 2nd tier in Europe basketball, while Craft seems to be a defensive oriented teamplayer. I like it a lot. I must add, that I think Szolnok has now some reputation, after Justin Holiday played for us before coming to the Warriors to be a bench guy. We also was in context to sign Copeland after his year in Belgium, but he joined the Knicks summer league and could get in the league. Good for him of course.

We'll be playing EuroCup, which is the second tier of international basketball in Europe after the EuroLeague, hope he'll have success with us. In the national scene it's pretty competitionless in the last few years, awkwardly after being a poir team for decades we are loaded in our country.

Pumpkin beers started showing up on shelves in Charlotte August 1 when it was 100 degrees outside around here. Come on now.

So just read this and maybe it resolved itself. First of all that sucks. Second, you have every right to address the issue and your other neighbors are probably thinking the same thing. Calling the police in this situation isn't being a snitch. From what you describe I don't even see it as a noise complaint but a domestic disturbance issue with the possibility of alcohol or drugs involved. Maybe I'm wrong but given the times, duration, and physical nature of the arguments I would also be concerned about someone's safety, including tearing off in a car in an agitated state while potentially intoxicated.

Anyways it's a bummer. I live in a condo and am lucky in that regard but have had similar situations in the past and it's no fun.

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Oh no doubt...I blame the consumers!

Like who is drinking Pumking in mid-August? I drank it two years ago for the first Panthers regular season game in September and it was too early then. It needs to be crisp outside before I dip into pumpkins.
