1. Buck Williams - it could be that I'm more familiar with him than Paxson, but I have enough doubts about Paxson as a lead guy that I'm not sure I can go with him. Buck proved he could be a very good lead guy himself in New Jersey but assumed a lesser role in Portland and focused more on defense.

2. Jim Paxson - the leading scorer of those early-mid 80s teams and he seems to have maintained his production pretty well in the playoffs.

3. Cliff Robinson - a tantalizing player who was often pretty frustrating with his reliance on the outside shot, and several poor postseasons.
