I'm almost positive the phone companies don't have even that information. Unless Rose kept his text messages in the iCloud or used the program provided by AT&T or Sprint (I think) that allows you to save text messages, then he would not have access to them.

Thing is, the complaint suggests that the girl has kept her text messages. One of the first discovery requests by Rose will be all of the text messages in her possession. I will bet that she will have the very convenient response that she only kept a few of the text messages and the rest are gone.

If so, that could actually be to his benefit. In IL, at least, if you satisfy the requirements necessary to get a missing evidence instruction for the jury, they are told they should assume that the destroyed evidence would have supported the other side's case.
