I think the kid in atletico will break the top 10 this season as a CB. Kid's really really good.

Much better than the overrated english nonsense Stones.

Alexander Meier was the top goal scorer of Bundesliga. Then BuLi is even worse than Serie A.

Dude your posts are insane. Are you related to cgf or foye by any chance?

I'm not related to any Laker fan. And if I was I would cut that tie lol.

As a fan who mainly follows the BL I can tell you that Naldo isn't even the best defender on his team (it isn't close), that he isn't even a top 10 defender in the BL (again, not close) and that calling him the fourth best defender in the world is so ridiculous that I don't even know how to put it into words.

AW: Top 15 players in the world?

Post#590 » by Foye » Fri Jul 31, 2015 12:56 pm

Naldo is great offensively for set pieces. Whether it is his heading ability on corner kicks or him taking free kicks like penalties...he's very good there.

In his supposed core competence (defending) he is far away from world class, though. He is rather slow and thus tends to stand too deep which leaves a lot of room for opponent strikers to run into.

He is definitely a top 5 CB in the Bundesliga but mainly for his offensive skillset.

1. i never said Naldo was the 4th best cb in the world i said off this season alone not overall.
2. THIS SEASON Naldo had the highest rating for a centre back on who scored on the entire planet
3. he led the world in interceptions per game this season
4. pretty much every soccer jornalist ive read has put Naldo in the Bundesliga team of the season.
5. if it "isnt close" that Naldo isnt the best Wolfsburg defender how come he got voted by bundesliga fans to be in the team of the season.

Well, I wouldn't put him in my BL team of the season. Like Foye said, I think he's much more valuable offensively than he is defensively. I'm not saying he's a bad player, but he's just not that good. There is a reason Wolfsburg had defensive issues last season (he's not the main reason, but part of the problem).

Ricardo Rodriguez is by far the best defender Wolfsburg has.

You can't put fullbacks and centerbacks in the same ranking when fullbacks are more offensive outside of the top 3 (bayern, madrid and barca) cbs....

Surprised you guys missed out la liga kids.

Gaya.
Marcelo.

Centerbacks:
Gimenez
Laporte

Also, a ton of belgins rate knoche very highly from wolfsburg.

Gaya, gimenez and varane are the future of la liga.

I choose to stay out of the Messi/Ronaldo debate so I'm not even going to get into that. But to have Suarez & Ibra over Messi is laughable and quite frankly, just makes you look like an utter fool. You must be a typical Madridiot to have this opinion.
