Sorry I had to go back in time and kill RC cause he was going to destroy the world in the future. So don't expect a response any time soon.

I am so excited about this upcoming decade.

Apparently Milt said in an interview today that Wiggins is 6'9" now. Pretty sure Smith said this during summer league as well.

They really should get him to work on his handle and then play him at SG. That would cause ridiculous mismatches and allow Shabazz to start. LaVine could be the bench scorer.

I think if I had to chose between LaVine or Shabazz starting, I would probably take LaVine, as Shabazz thrives off his hustle and energy, which is great for a 6th man off the bench.

Prob irrelevant though, as Martin and Wiggins are going to start, barring injuries.

Andrew Wiggins has been very, very mediocre in the tournament.

Shooting over 50%. Rebounding well. Not shooting the 3 ball well. Is doing very little ball handling. Running very little offense through Wiggins. Most offense coming from cuts and offensive rebounds. Wiggins has always liked to defer so honestly this type of setting isn't where I'd elect him to put up huge numbers.

Fine with me Wiggins saving his energy for the regular season. We don't need him going nuts and scoring 40+, just do what you can within that system and get ready for the NBA

If mediocre is 22/7/3 per36 on very good percentages then i wanna see Wiggins when he is actaully good :o ^^

last game was crazy 17/3/2 in 18!! minutes on 6/7 and 2/2 threes

Sadly i cant find a stream that works for me here in Germany so far so i havent been able to watch the games... but if THAT is Wiggins "taking a step back" "deferring" without any plays run for him... i know thats not amazing competition besides Argentina.. but still.. damn

I believe I made the post before that game happened which should be pointed out. He was playing very mediocre before the exploded in that game though, he just was an average player on the court. Per 36 is a flawed statistic in my opinion, as it inflates numbers greatly, but even when considering the statistic, he is just mediocre to watch. His competition is really, really bad, he should be pulling off the 17/3/2 almost every game.

well i dont disagree with you^^ i would love to see Wiggins do that every game^^

But we have to consider the Nature of National Team Basketball style. Completly unrelated to competition even guys like MJ,Kobe,Lebron or Durant rarley ever score 20ppg in a turnament. Its just the nature of International play that focuses so heavily on Passing the Ball until your hands fall off.. there are rarley any 1v1 scoring oportunities. And Canadas Coach is also a bit at fault here.. he could and propably should run alot more plays for Wiggins.

I am not making excuses and i hope Wiggins stays as agrressive.

But i watch alot of European and National Team Basketball over the last 15 years(im from Germany)..i just know that National Teams are NOT the time to look for incredible Individual numbers and Superstars to shine. Those are 100% TEAM events.

Wolves GM Milt Newton said this week they want Wiggins to get to the point where the team doesn't have to call a play designed for Wiggins in order for Wiggins to be involved in the play.

Saunders mentioned this during the season as well.

i can understand that but wouldnt it be wise to call plays for your by far best scorer and future superstar nonetheless?
I mean you dont score 17ppg as a rookie or 15ppg in 24 minutes(as he is right now for Canada) by beeing uninvolved.

I mean you are the Wolves fans so i will give you that many of you propably have seen more of Andrew than i have.. but is lack of agression still that much of an issue?
He scored 20ppg since that Breakout game against Cleveland ah there it is: 19.3ppg in 56 Games

I mean where is the problem here. Andrew seems not to be the kind of kid(yes i am old i see 20 as "kid")who goes to the Coach and Teammates and says "Hey Coach,Hey Kevin(Martin).. I need to talk to yall i want the most shots of the Team.

Andrew has grown over his rookie year into the Mindset of beeing a No1 Scorer. and he did pretty well.
Now i think Kevin Martin at 32 wont be in your longterm plans right? And with KAT arriving propably neither is Pekovic. Two guys who averaged more shots than Wiggins last season(Pekovic at least for stretches).,,will propably not be around past next year. Wiggins will get to 20 shots per Game and will have the oportunity to show if he can be the Superstar Scorer we all hope he can be.

What more do you want?

There are probably three things that will separate Wiggins from ever being in the LeBron category.

1. Ballhandling
2. Playmaking (for others)
3. About 60 pounds

Man he's got such a defined style already. I know there have been a lot of great players drafted within the last 10 years but Wiggins has this glide going on like nobody in recent memory. The way he moves reminds me of Julius Erving and Michael Jordan, really fluid and smooth, isn't wasting any unnecessary movements but it's so natural. Not saying his game is as good as theirs but wow I really underestimated this guy's ceiling.

Also he does look like he's grown taller. Mayn I cant wait to see him explode this year and catch a lot of people by surprise...

So Canada defeated Mexico tonight. Looks like Wiggins had another nice game with 17 points in a blow out, including 4/4 from 3
