My boy Shane Haste had a tryout for the WWE back in June. Hope he made the cut. I'd love to see him with the company.

Btw, congrats to Gargano. If Marcus hadn't been mentioning Lee, I wouldn't have seen Gargano. He's got a great heel personality in the matches I saw.

his age, size, and my own selfish reasons of wanting to keep him in NXT since im not sure what his main roster persona would be. He's small but has pound for pound strength like Cesaro or better yet HuniCara considering size. Moveset is more NXT fitting right now and his look is really plain.

He'd probably have to take a Daniel Bryan type path to greatness where the following makes the decision makers take notice. I like his match emotion, pace, timing, sells well, kinda promo limited at the moment with that accent he has. He's not big enough to pair a mouth piece with. So that's gotta develop or he'll be a tag wrestler on the main stage as it currently stands.

Gargano been on the WWE radar for a minute and im glad he picked his spot to come over. Ciampa was a surprise and i wonder how he gets pushed, if he'll be the powerhouse he was on the indies or they just stick with the psycho thing. Also will they let him use Project Ciampa since they're coming in as a tag.

Yeah, when Ciampa eventually gets to the WWE, he won't be that big of a guy, so they have to promote him differently than ROH did. He and Lee could be a very interesting tag team. I've always liked the idea of tagging different types of wrasslers together.

I think they definitely have that in Gargano and Ciampa as it stands. Once Johnny G breaks out though he'll be on his way via the single realm and Ciampa im not sure who they'll pair with him after that.

I can see a Ciampa Corbin fued at some point though.

They've got a documentary (possibly a series) coming out on the Network chronicling the performance center and the tryout process. I'm really looking forward to that. I'm pretty sure it's from when they had Rich Swann in for a tryout (he recently signed).

I wonder what in the hell they're gonna do with Swann.

Dana Brooke is probably my least favorite thing I've ever seen on NXT.

Hopefully she gets over better than Hideo did. He never really clicked with the audience before he got injured.

With the emphasis they are putting on Women's wrestling I think she's got a good chance. She's one of the best womens wrestlers in the world and she's got some very good talent in NXT to put on great matches with. I'm looking forward to it.

Apparently she will go by Asuka in the WWE.

I wasn't familiar with her at all and so I watched a couple of her matches on Youtube and she's very, very good. But there's still a lot of questions you still have. How good is her English, how good is her character work. Plus the depth in NXT on that side is not great right now. You figure Sasha's done after the rematch with Bayley, and so you've got Bayley and Emma who are really good but Dana Brooke, Eva Marie and Carmella are still very green.

Heyman's had some fun on social media over the past couple years teasing the idea of a Heyman girl. I'm not sure they'll ever put anyone with Heyman again as the only pairings that have worked have been previously established main eventers that he was already friends with. But if they did, she'd be a really interesting option to do it with.

I love the Joe/Balor interactions. Everyone knows where this is ultimately leading to but the way they're going about it is so great and so in line with both guys' characters. Balor's a nice guy, a good guy, but he's also the champ, he's the man. And whether he says it or not with that title he expects to get a little bit of deference. But Joe's a total alpha-male, the kind of guy that defers to nobody. And so you'll see the occasional momentary irritation when Joe pats him on the back too hard or over celebrates and he's too nice a guy to say anything but if you're paying close attention you can tell he doesn't really appreciate it.

Agree 100%. Those 2 guys are playing this angle as well as 2 pro wrestlers can. It's been really amazing so far. It's an angle where I wish I wasn't "smartened up" so that I could be genuinely shocked when it culminates.

Is this the first time ever having an ironwoman match? Definitely don't recall ever seeing that. I like it!

I'm pretty sure it's the first time ever in WWE.

I've been completely enamored with the NXT coverage on the Network this week. I am pretty damn amped about tonight's Takeover special. The WWE:24 doc they put out Monday night was PHENOMENAL, better than the E:60 special they did about NXT earlier in the year, IMO. It motivated me to watch the Bayley vs. Sasha match from Takeover:Brooklyn again, and that might be the best women's match I've personally ever seen.

I'm curious to see how stiff Asuka will be tonight.

This is a good card. WWE always fails with tag tournaments, but this was has been inspired. The fact that the tag champs lost was a neat wrinkle, and having matches at live events was an awesome idea. The recap they did every week felt completely different than anything WWE usually does.
