We're last place and need to get points somehow.
A guy like Schaaf, who always wants to win 5-3, doesn't make any sense at all right now.

My guess is that the coach from our reserves, Andre Schubert, will take over for now. He's had pro experience managing Paderborn and St. Pauli before.

I dont need to watch Süper Lig to call someone from that league done. After all SüperLig is known as the prime destination for washed up players.

Players like Podolski, Grosskreutz, Gomez, Nani, Sneijder, Van Persie. They're all washed up. If they werent they certainly wouldnt choose to play in Turkey where you cant even be sire your salary is secured.

I'm hearing names like Slomka and Keller. Would be hilarious.

You mean the same Sneijder that wasn't considered good enough anymore for Inter Milan midway through his supposed prime?

Dude is not a relevant player anymore.

Ignoring the irrelevant Buffon blabla since I never said he isnt a good keeper anymore.

But how about being one of the main cogs from not managing to qualify for EC 2016, though?

And Schubert gets the job. He seems like a capable coach from all I've read, curious to see how he does.

Det seems to be well connected when it comes to Gladbach.

He either has genuine contacts/sources there or he is just copying what they post on Gladbachs Transfermarkt forum. My guess would be the latter.

Good editorial on kicker.de - Favre lässt die Borussia im Stich - http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/635515/artikel_favre-laesst-die-borussia-im-stich.html
Have to agree with the entire commentary, including that this will be a permanent stain on Favre ' s vest.

While there's a lot of respective to Klopp for sticking it out; there's a very strong argument to be made that if he had done what Favre has, BVB would be playing in the CL right now.

Though, I've got a couple of them...

It was pretty obvious that no one at the club had a replacement on speed dial and Eberl's not the one to hire someone on the fly.
I also know that the club has Andre Schubert(reserves) and Arie van Lent(under 19) in their ranks and both of them have already worked with pro teams.
So it was one of them and I thought Schubert would be the better fit thanks to already having worked in the 2nd Bundesliga with Paderborn and St. Pauli.

During todays press conference Eberl confirmed that they're still early in the process of finding a manager or rather a profile of how the manager should work and will take their time.
So Schubert will get a couple of games before anything happens and that's probably the best way to go at it, as guys like Slomka, Schaaf or Keller aren't communicable to the fans/media as a replacement for Favre.

A couple people are now also talking about Eberl taking his time means that he wants someone who's currently under contract and would need convincing the current club to release him from his duties.
If so, I could see a guy like Gertjan Verbeek(Bochum) being an option, cause he's also more of a "conceptional manager" like Favre.
