DeGrom has earned the start opening day again but for this situation, Harvey needs to go game 1, DeGrom game 2
it doesn't matter who starts game 1 they all will have long lay-offs.
If Harvey goes game 1 and Degrom goes game 2.
The layoff for Noah would be 12 days.
Degroms layoff would be 7 days which is an awkward number. A lot of times this year he pitched on 6 days rest which would align him for Game 1.
Harvey is already under 9 days rest so it really doesn't matter at this point. Instead let him throw a simulated game on friday or saturday to have him in line for Game 3 which would be Friday night at Citi field.
