57% of people on Fanduel wasted a ton of money on Anthony Davis tonight.

Yeah, I missed the money by .25 fantasy points. 7530th place, top 7500 paid.

Still, made you actually keep up with the games. Will enjoy tomorrow

Tons and tons of people.

That being said Davis screwed me last night.

I won 0 last night. Finished 4000 out of 13,000. Damn you Davis.

Who are some good sleepers tonight? I kinda like Lin tonight. I think I will go with Lillard and maybe McCollum as well. I also like Nerlens. Just need to decide on which big name to use - Cousins, Harden, Davis, Durant, Westrook, Paul... and a few cheap guys.

First draft lineup: Lillard, Lin, McCollum, Lavine, Marcus Morris, Mirotic, Nerlens, David Lee, Cousins.
Lee and Lavine make me really nervous though.

pumped for tonight. Went 4/4 in head to heads last night with score of 247 on DK thanks to Bron, Jackson, Curry, Butler.

I am afraid of tonight actually. Too many players to choose from!!!!!

Trey burke is a super deep sleeper for me (I don't exactly know how far down you have to go to build lineups). 3 reasons. 1 - It looks like he is going to be coming off the bench for and Neto will be starting. 2 - Steve blake is the Pistons backup point guard and he got absolutely shredded last night. 3- Back to back for the Pistons so Blake may play more.

top 7500 get paid? I'm a little out of the loop with these leagues. I'll probably start playing mid-season but that's 7500 out of how many?

for example, the $1 tournament I am in tonight on Fanduel has 28,000 entries. Here is the payout:

1st : $2,000.00
2nd : $1,000.00
3rd : $750.00
4th : $500.00
5th : $400.00
6th : $300.00
7th - 8th : $200.00
9th - 11th : $150.00
12th - 15th : $125.00
16th - 20th : $100.00
21st - 25th : $75.00
26th - 35th : $50.00
36th - 50th : $40.00
51st - 75th : $30.00
76th - 100th : $25.00
101st - 130th : $20.00
131st - 170th : $15.00
171st - 250th : $10.00
251st - 350th : $7.00
351st - 600th : $5.00
601st - 1000th : $4.00
1001st - 1500th : $3.00
1501st - 2500th : $2.50
2501st - 5400th : $2.00

So basically, finish in the top 20% of the league, you'll win some $. But to win anything big you have to finish in the top 10.

the 50/50 leagues are super simple. If you finish in the top 50% of the league, you win double your money. So in a $5 league with 100 entries, 1-50 win $10, 51-100 win $0.

I like Noel tonight as well, And I like Mirotic again as I think he becomes an all-star soon and hes going against Brooklyn's anemic frontcourt. In fact I like a lot of Bulls tonight.

My big name pick is Westbrook going against a smaller weaker Spurs frontcourt.

Love Lin, going with Duncan (Kanter is really bad and Ibaka might be on Aldridge), Jeff Green, Westbrook, Noel, Mirotic, George Hill, and JJ Redick. I'll look into Burke.

For the newbies this is what DraftKings looks like:

So each day you want to play you pick a lineup. You get 50,000 fake money to pick your lineup, and the heavy hitters are really expensive. You MUST fill out your roster or you can't play in the contest.
Image

This is the contest details for the NBA contest I did tonight, so its a $5 dollar entry, 690 person contest. This is a 'single entry' contest so each person can only submit one entry.

Here is my profitable NFL week this past week with last night's NBA loss in there.

Not bad, not bad. From what I've heard they're swimming with sharks, so it's essentially impossible to finish in the top 20 or whatever, but still, I'd be ecstatic to win like $25 from a $1 tournament.

The huge advantage the sharks have is in the multi-entry tournaments. In some of those tournaments you can enter up to 100 different lineups. If you have a ton of money and a fancy computer program to churn out roster combinations based on stats, then you can put 100 lineups in a tournament and have most if the big combinations covered. That is why I prefer the single entry tournaments or the 50/50 tournaments.

Won $2 with Lillard, Lin, McCollum, Lavine, Marcus Morris, Mirotic, Noel, Lee and Cousins. Lee, Lin, Morris and Lavine didn't do much, but the others had good/great games.

Not in love with the games tonight. Everyone is going to have the same players - Paul, Blake and George. I guess you could go with a contrary lineup of Teague, Conley, Melo, Gasol etc.. but I just don't like those guys tonight. So I will stick with a boring lineup

Paul, Schroeder, Galloway, Redick, George, Green, Griffin, D Williams, M Gasol.

I might go down from M Gasol to either Pachulia or OQuinn and upgrade Williams to Millsap but I don't see much else that I like. Will just hope for a big bounce back game from Gasol. Still playing around...

Edit: I like this lineup better:
Paul, Felton, Galloway, Vucevic, George, Green, Griffin, Millsap, Horford.

Just missed last night. CP3 was a major bust and I should have known not to trust Felton.

On to tonight, tons of games, gotta pick the right studs tonight.

I love Cousins at home vs the Lakers. I am building round him.

Mudiay, Westbrook, Giannis, Hood, Crowder, Mirotic, Randle, Faried, Cousins.

Westbrook could be subbed for Curry or Harden. That Houston/GS game will probably be a shootout.

I don't like the Clippers at all this year which is one of the reasons I got rid of CP3 in the dynasty league.

Looks like you can take the guards vs. the Pelicans and the big men vs. the Mavericks. Both absolutely dreadful defensively against those positions.

I found a really good lineup I like for tournaments this week NFL wise....

Brian Hoyer
Chris Johnson
Justin Forsett
Antonio Brown
Julio Jones
A.J. Green
Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Benjamin Watson
Broncos D

Julio and Antonio are in line for monster days, and AJ Green is one of the best fantasy players in the NFL off a bye. Gambling a bit with Hoyer against the Titans and the Broncos D against the Packers, but you have to gamble in tournaments.
