We will forever not hit on a rookie. This team is cancerous to rookies.

Winslow +26, great defense, better dunk
Mudiay 17/9 first game
Porzingis 14/5, got to the line 8 times
Hezonja 11 points, 3/5 from deep
Okafor 26/7 first game
Johnson 11/5

Kaminsky - 1 rebound

Even Marcus Smart, who I advocated trading up/trading Kemba for during the draft, has surpassed Kemba as a better starting PG. 3/6 from deep tonight too. Elfrid Payton with a near triple double in a close loss.

Now its clearly not Kaminsky's fault, but how many years of Charlotte not producing a top 10 rookie out of a draft despite having a top 10 pick do we need. Its becoming utterly hopeless. Our player values suck, have sucked, and will always suck. There is nothing to get excited about with our future yet again. Fire Cho.

Not saying he had a good game, but his points per shot was actually slightly better than Al's.

big deal. They both suck

Fascinating to see Marvin lead the team in minutes (37), and he was also +4. So we were -14 in the 11 minutes he didn't play.

He did well tonight.

Batum - Kemba - Lin - Zeller and maybe eventually Frank

Very interesting for game to go like this

More important than winning these early game is showing Al the role he needs to accept on this team

Sorry if I am beating the anti-Al drum too hard too soon, but I just want to point out that at no point did we really look like a functional team with him on the court tonight. No one else did hardly anything during Al's first quarter run because we were just standing around post iso'ing him and we only were competitive because he had fresh legs and got some shots to go down. The defensive collapse combined with the iso clogged toilet offense in the third quarter cost us the game. We only really played well as a team in the fourth quarter when we went with Kemba, Lin, Batum, Marvin, Zeller. We should trade Al. It is going to be the same script over and over again as long as he is here with Clifford. At least Clifford finally had the balls to bench him in the fourth.

CJ McCollum has 22 pts in first quarter.

Damn

ok, realgm is working (for now). some random post game thoughts

- the "shooters" we brought in aren't really that good, 6-24? thats terrible (Lin did do solid though)
- thankfully Cliff figured out how to bench Al, if we aren't going to use Alfense. there is no point on having him on the team
- Kemba still takes way too many midrange shots (and not good ones), he has probably peaked.
- Hopefully Batum didn't peak a few years ago
- We have zero rim protection, 1 block and several uncontested/lightly contested attempts
- What is the point of drafting "win now" players if you only play them 6mins?

Bad contracts with more than a year left on em, in other words totally toxic ****.

No chance on EG as the Nawlins already have their big man rotation set in Unibrow and Asik, also EG's play has picked up as late and idoubt they'd trade him straight up for Al since they're thin on the wing.

Give Al afew more games to see if he can adjust, if not then trade him for whatever you can get. Likely need to attach a 1st rounder on him if you want to get an expiring back, if u want to dump him without sweeteners then u need to take back non-expiring bad contracts. Regardless it's a lose lose situation where the best move might be to just bench him so the young bigs have a chance to develop. Or try to get a buyout going to save a few mil and let him ring chase or showcase elsewhere, if he realizes he's gonna be sitting alot of pine he might be amenable to negotiate a buyout to latch onto a team that needs bigs and have mins to spare (LAC is a good example, he might be able to help alot on the 2nd team as their focal point).

Some of my random notes, that may or may not have any context:

-Lets start off with all those soccer mom pantys that dropped with that Hawes/McBob man bun faceoff in the 1st quarter. WOWZA.

-So our paint defense isn't just awful like we thought, it's **** nonexistent. Nobody tries. Nobody cares.

-Williams overall played well, but at the end of the day I don't care if you are going 0-5 at what you are supposed to be doing.

- Lin played well, he pounds the ball a lot though

-Kemba year 1 = Kemba year 2 = Kemba year 3 = Kemba year 4 = Kemba year 5 = ****

-we threw an alley oop to Marvin? LMFAO

- Still nobody cares about **** defense

-Hawes fell on his first play of the year, fitting for that goofy white dude

-Frank runs weird, his bows his arms out like the kid in high school trying to look buff

- Hairston still switches when he shouldn't, big men were giving him looks

-Hairston cares a lot more when defending Wade, but I don't have many issues with him tonight besides he still can't shoot

-WHERE THE **** IS OUR PAINT D???

- I watched Southpaw earlier, and Winslows three and poster on back to back posessions made me 50 times more emotional

-Hey Zells Bells, smart move to leave Bosh wide open on the 3 to help Walker on Chalmers

-we don't get contested rebounds, Zeller does but that's it.

-I have a feeling this isn't going to be one of my favorite teams
