I might actually try to go to a game this year. The team looks a lot better, Jimmer should be an attraction, and I live right in Westchester. Played at the county center a few times as a kid.

Trying to see what the lineup would be:

PG: Jimmer / Trice
SG: Saunders
SF: Thanasis / Summers
PF: Atkins
C: Morgan / Bachynski

Don't recognize the rest. They got guys to help cover Jimmer on D and just let him go off on the other end though.

Would be hilarious if it was "JR Iman" instead of "JR Inman".

CJ Giles was a heralded HS'er that attended Kansas years back before getting kicked off the team for conduct detrimental to the team. He then went to Oregon State and again got kicked from that program (for basically the same thing). Declared for the 2008 draft but went undrafted as teams feared that he was a headcase. He's been bouncing around for various NBA summer league rosters, asian and middle east teams ever since getting kicked off and/or otherwise prematurely leaving multiple teams overseas. Talent and tools are definitely there (he's got great NBA length and athleticism) but he's been waived by 2 overseas teams and a D-League team...so...yeah.

“You never know what’s going to happen, but you look at all situations that were out there, we felt the Knicks would be the best fit for me with my style of play and having 14 guys on the roster,’’ Fredette said. “I hope to impress and play well and go from there.’’

Fredette thinks the triangle suits him and could help his game.

“Every player in the triangle can play a different position on every possession,” Fredette said. “They don’t try to get caught up with who the point guard or shooting guard is. It’s just guards who can score and handle the ball and shoot and be a smart player to run it. I think that plays into my game. I can shoot the ball and handle it from different positions on the court. I think I can be successful in it.’’

He's right. The Triangle could be real good for him IF he can get his mindset back to what it was at BYU. IMO he's had his confidence sucked out of him. If he can get the swagger back, he could be the next Lin level injection to this team.

Kevin Capers was one of the best Division II players last season. Led his team to the Div II National Title and was the tournament MVP. Kinda resembles Jeff Teague a bit. Hard to tell what he can do since the competition wasn't the same, but then again, that doesn't mean he can't play against better talent. Had a few workouts for NBA teams prior to the draft so at least some teams were aware of who he was.

Just read that A. Houston will be mentoring Jimmer. Man, if he could get some confidence and learn the system it would be hard to imagine he would be worse than Jose at this point. At the very least I feel more confident in Jimmer's offense and it might be impossible to worse than Jose's defense so fsr

“I’ve talked to him about the triangle [offense]. I’ve talked to him about how to create to get my shot off quicker, what different things I can do to keep guys off balance so I can get the shot off. We just talked about that yesterday actually, which was awesome. I mean, he’s a great player and someone I respect very much and anything I could get from him would be a bonus for my career.”

Ok, am I the only one that notices that we don't have the Jordan Crawford we are familiar with?
Not that it matters.

Come on, this is the Knicks board. We don't miss a thing. It's already been brought up and discussed. In this case, by me. :D

Why isn't Saunders starting? Wheres Atkins? Why
isn't Trice getting more looks? What's wrong with
our coach? Why's Summers taking bad shots?

Now I feel like I'm watching a genuine Knicks
game!

First half of the first game over. Trice looks very good. Smart, a leader, excellent vision, passer and ball handler, sweet outside shot! And fearless.

Atkins also impressed me. Athletic, active, excellent defense, smart, gets nice shots in the paint with a nice touch.

Saunders didn't show me anything.

Trice looked really solid in the limited time I watched. I didn't see Thanasis really do anything, but they never really gave him the ball from what I watched
