Pacers are struggling, they might take Al can Hill guard Sgs, he would be nice next to Kemba offensively

for what it's worth, there is a possibility that he would become available.

Chicago just has too many young bigs heading forward in Gibson, Portis and Mirotic. McDermott should probably get some minutes at the 4 as well. Add Gasol (has a 7mil player option for next year, hard to tell what happens there) to the equation and somebody has to be the odd man out. Especially considering the fact that they are one of the good teams which could have space for a max contract and that Noah has already been relegated to a bench role.

If you believe in the narrative that he has improved his physique over the summer at P3 and that what he gives you on a contract which would start at the age of 31, sure, why not.

When you look at it from a perspective of not re-signing Al and signing Noah, I like the idea. However, I still would like to see how good he plays this year and whether his health condition has indeed improved.

Noah has too many injury issues, and he looked like he was cooked last season. He was miserable to watch. I'd pass on him for someone younger

yeah but he wouldn't be asked to do much here, just protect the rim & move the ball.

I hate Noah's game after last night, but I saw the Bulls preseason at the Hive and they looked terrible. I have them 6 or 7 seed when many had them 2-3 or 4 at worst.

I've mentioned before I'd like to look at Dieng. But another guy I like is Henson. Monroe is now the C for the Bucks and they don't have a good mix even though they have some overlapping talent.

Would like to target Henson.

Seems highly unlikely, they just extended him (source).

The Hornets need a superstar. How do we trade for one of those?

Hornet fans: what's the thinking on Cody Zeller and his long-range fit with the team. What kind of return would you look for in order to deal him?

We'd require a really good win-now piece IMO- similar to the return we got for Vonleh, preferably not on an expiring deal.

Zeller is slowly piecing together a really nice skillset- he can defend, he hustles like a madman, and he's extended his range out to the 3. Not to mention he runs the floor like DeAndre Jordan and has stupid hops. I think he's our C of the future once Al's gone.

So what do you guys think about:

Charlotte : Hawes + 2nd round pick

for

Memphis : Brandan Wright

Charlotte trades Hawes Because he is redundent peice with Kaminsky. Wright would improve our intirior D and be able to come off the bench. He can hit long Jumpers and decent pick and roll game to play with Lin.

Memphis trades Wright to get shooting and ball movement since they are struggaling Offensively, and helps space the floor for both Randoph and Gasol. 2nd round pick helps offset the extra money they are takeing.

Lmao fair enough. I dont think it is that crazy as Hawes fills an offensive need and can be paired with Gasol or Randolph to accentuate their strength and creat space for them to work in the post.

This would never happen, but if the Nets start 0-15 or so, would you do Brook Lopez for Al Jefferson and Hawes? Nets shave massive long term salary considering they are deep in the luxury, Hornets get a younger, more consistent Al Jefferson with some presense of shot blocking.

This is the #2 reason I would never, ever do this deal. #1 being Lopez's glass feet. He's owed over $20M/year. Way too much risk. Rather let Al expire and sign someone next year with our cap space.

We have to resign Batum, and eventually give Zeller a solid deal. Not a fan of trading for long term contracts right now.

Yeah, I'd rather resign Al on a hometown deal than trade for Lopez.

New Orleans is missing both Asik and Kendrick Perkins to injury. They also need a point guard. They might bite on Roberts plus either Hawes or Hansbrough. The latter will be available to trade December 15, as will several players on the Pelicans.
