Dallas down 5, Dirk scores 5 to tie the game. Crazy fourth there.

Almost every guy from his generation is washed up or a shell of themselves (KG, VC etc) most of whom are actually younger yet the Big Fundamental is still a main cog to the Spurs success.

The one thing that's hard for older players to do is to reduce their game in proportion to their decline. A lot of these old vets could be doing what Duncan's doing if they realized they're only capable of doing a couple of things great and not everything. Duncan handled this beautifully. The Spurs used to run the triangle around him. Since then he's become a quarterback of the offense, making smart decisions to exploit the defense rather than dominate them with his talent. I used to remember the days where you just couldn't stop Duncan, he had every tool in the kit. Nowadays he's taken a step back and letting the game come to him.

Pierce last year with the Wizards has adjusted well, so as Vince Carter with Dallas (he's been terrible with Memphis though). I remember watching Penny Hardaway in one of his last seasons. It was a sad sight, like seeing an old limping dog. It's like he didn't know how to play than any other way when he was younger; he kept on trying to be that dynamic guard that could do it all, and he just kept on turning the ball over or running into tough defenses that stopped him in his tracks.

To Kobe's credit, he's tried to downsize his game, though he has the wrong idea in mind. He's trying to be a spot up shooter, but the ball flies out of his hand every single time he touches it no matter how errant the shot is. His shot selection has become even worse in his new role than before when he was ball dominant.

Curry with 40 points on 18 shots in 31 minutes for win number 20. This can't be real life.

The only thing inhuman about him is his 3 point shooting. If good defenders could actually play him tough let's see where he'd be.

The only thing Delly is doing is being physically aggressive, and curry is thrown off and pouting like he always does after every missed shot.

So after 20 games, no one has figured out how to defend him? Could it be that maybe he's actually hard to defend?

If he can keep it up, and I don't see why he couldn't, this season will go down as the greatest offensive performance in NBA history. His TS% is just a hair below 70% twenty games into the season. It blows my mind how someone can be so efficient.

The refs don't let people defend him. Watch how quick people get called for fouls when they go near him. Delly was able to get away with a lot by modern NBA and Curry standards

I would like to see if the great Stephen Curry can take over the league with the following starters as teammates:
SG Dion Waiters - SF Kyle Singler -PF Enes Kanter -C Steven Adams
I really would like to see that! as I am as 'terrified' of Curry's 3 than I am of Klay''s 3 then you have the triple double threat of Draymond.

Anyway, the best player in league right now is on a historic pace and can play and defend 4 positions, his name is PAUL GEORGE!

Depends on how many illegal screens Adams can get away with.

 it wouldnt matter, Stephen would still get blitzed from all over as teams would take "the risk" of leaving snipers :) like Dion and Kyle wide open

The Curry hate is real. Pretty sad, but I guess it comes with the fame.

Curry is the best shooter in the history of the NBA. This isn't about good defense. He can get open from anywhere within 40 feet of the basket and it's a good look for him. He is essentially a video game cheat code.

While I don't deny that he is almost undoubtedly the best three point shooter in NBA history I still believe it's possible to defend it but the rule changes that led to Steve Nash's 2 MVPs don't allow you to defend him properly

Well I guess if you could foul him all the time and not get called for it, that might slow him down a little, but that would also harm every other player in the league and Curry would still be ahead of everyone else anyway.

Good write up on Curry's value.

Not sure if it's a Hawks or Lakers home game.

Lol, this Wizard-Phoenix ending is odd.
