I'm hoping that Eberl isn't completely losing it.

Kicker's reporting that we'll sign Jonas Hofmann and pay at least €7 M for a guy from Dortmunds bench. :uhoh:
On the other hand, Bild's reporting that it's just a loan deal for the rest of the season, which would make more sense.

Also, every newspaper and their mother in Austria's reporting that we'll sign Rapid Vienna winger Florian Kainz for about €4M as well.

BTW:
- Eintracht Frankfurt has signed mexican striker Marco Fabian.
- Hannover has appointed Thomas Schaaf as their new manager

Sadly, I envision this Mexican guy doing well at Eintracht. Doesnt matter he played in Mexico until age 26. Mexican top teams have money to keep most of their higher rated talents in their league.
Actually, I imagine the top Mexican teams could probably easily keep up with some of the bottom feeders in the major European leagues.

Plus, Fabian once scored a sensational bicycle kick against Barca in preseason. Dude cant be that bad lol.

Seems like we're paying €8M for Jonas Hofmann. :ouch:
Watzke and Zorc are going to be dancing the streets of Dortmund...

Also, HSV-Zidane Kerem Demirby could be sold for HSV to have at least some cash during the summer transfer period.
NO_20 must be really sad...

And Renato Augusto might be back in the Bundesliga. Schalke have made an official offer for him.

Jonas Hofmann joins Borussia Mönchengladbach and signed a contract until 2020.
The deal's said to be worth up to €8M, if all goals are reached by Gladbach.

Also, Salzburg CB Martin Hinteregger's probably not on the list of Eberl.

Can anyone tell me something about Sinan Kurt? Seems like he's about to join Hertha.

He's from Gladbachs youth academy and joined Bayern last summer thanks to an ugly transfer that had Bayern just going behind Gladbach/Eberl's back to convince the guy to join.
His agent is also quite a head case(also represents Lukas Klostermann of now RB Leipzig) and known to force players were he wants to have them.

He's a skilled winger(a bit in the Marko Marin mold, not just the size) and was billed as the most talented of his age group.
Though, he's also a bit of a head case and was banned from Bayerns first team by Guardiola/Sammer thanks to not working hard enough.
Sammer even openly said that Kurt was told way too often(by people close to him) how good he was.

This loan would be a chance for him to redeem himself and that might help set his head straight and actually putting the work in to succeed at the pro level.
He would also help against more defensive opponents thanks to his one on one skills.

BTW: Gladbach has made an offer for Rapid Vienna winger Florian Kainz, the austrian club announced.
Though, that offer is for the summer of 2016.
And striker Adam Szalai might join Hannover from Hoffenheim.

Happy belated New Years guys! Unfortunately I missed the actual New Years because my lil sister got too...excited to be back in Germany...n so was way too drunk lol for me to enjoy the turn of the year with my cousin n her friends until it came time to celebrate the New Year reaching London.

@Truthy; I'll probably take you up on your offer when I get back state side so don't be shocked when you get a multi paragraph long vent-text; especially since I'm still seeing that same girl on top of everything else.

At least it looks like you guys are going to finally bring Zivkovic and Soriano to the BuLi for me to watch more regularly!...:-/

@Nate, I'm in Berlin til the 8th, I think; this weekend is all planned out n I'll be busy on Wednesday, but other than that I'd be down to grab a beer if you're around town. D'you have my # from one of the drafts we did? If so just WhatsApp me and if not pm me about it.

As for Kurt, Det nailed it. Big time talent with an even bigger ego; who really stuck out, even amongst other brilliant youngsters...at least before he decided he had made it n stopped trying. Like a Yesil without the injuries n foreign-country excuse. But if Dardai can reach him n if the loan+Coman's great showing have motivated him he can be a very dangerous and creative wide-forward. I could certainly see him thriving in Kalou's role if he starts putting the work in...if...

I dunno if you guys are still chasing him but that Swiss-Albanian kid you've been linked to, Tarashaj, is apparently a very major talent. Alongside Avdijaj he's one of Albania's top hope-carriers...if they can convince him not to play for the Swiss.

@Det; ...well let us hope that most of that 8M isn't guaranteed if you (and Hoffman) don't hit the triggers. Cause I've always been underwhelmed by Hoffman; although he has been much better this season under Tuchel :-/

And I hope Hinteregger does end up happening. With Alvaro and Tony's injury issues, Stranzl fast approaching retirement, and Christensen's future still unsecured; a smooth & skilled CB like that would do wonders for you, even with Nordveit's return to CB.

Any word on Stefaniak? He's a nifty player who has some Arrango/Hustzi in that left foot of his.

Anyway, time for me to end this middle of the night, jetlag inspired, sleeping-fail n crawl back into bed.

Well, no one knows how much of those 8M are guaranteed but it's only going to be as much if we reach europe(or even CL) again and with him being a big part of that.
If that's about to happen and he helps us reach those goals, then those couple extra millions don't really hurt.
I guess it's a first sign of things to come and prices to go up, with that tv deal in England finally setting in during the summer.

As for Hinteregger. Some are saying that he's off to England to team like Sunderland or Norwich. If that's the case then good luck to him, he'll need it if he wants to play Premier League next season as well.

No further words on Stefaniak but I'm pretty sure Eberl's already working on it(if we're really that interested) given that he always does close deals pretty early.
Though, he will and should stay for the rest of the season to help Dresden being promoted back into the 2nd Bundesliga.

Also, even the Rapid Vienna manager(Andreas Müller, should be known  ) has stated us having made an offer for Florian Kainz.
But that would be for the summer.

Anyways, Happy New Year guys and may this one be another great year for everyone around those message boars.

"Have to go", doesn't sound like you're very excited.

Hamburg is a great city though, a lot of things to do. Do you have anything special in mind? You wanna go shopping or get drunk somewhere?
