PG pretty much single handedly defeated the Pistons himself in the 4th
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Holy crap, Paul George was like 2-10 from the field last time I looked. Finished 9-18.

Re: General NBA Discussion Thread
Was just gonna make a post on how maybe we should calm down our expectations of Ben Simmons since LSU hasn't looked very strong as a team. Watching this Vandy/LSU game and he has 27/7 on 9/11 shooting with almost a half to play. :O

Re: General NBA Discussion Thread
Suns went on a decent little run, scoring 15 points in the last 3 and a half minutes of the 3rd, yet they're still losing by 30...to the Lakers. Both teams almost doubled their score in a near-record-breaking 3rd quarter (just kidding, it was 43-22 at half).

Re: General NBA Discussion Thread
This Suns loss just reeks of a Hornacek-firing vibe. They somehow managed to finish with 77 despite only having 24 points midway through the 3rd, but Phoenix owners have always been impatient like that. Just not sure how management will take this loss, but you can't imagine the sun is shining in Arizona right now.

Damn, I feel bad for Brooklyn now. With Jack out for the year it's going to be even more difficult for that fan base. I'm super jealous of the Celtics too

celtics will have more opportunities and options BUT with that said, what ainge has done so far with the roster post big 3 isn't really impressive.

^^I'd say what Ainge has done so far is impressive. He sold at the right time to the right team. They have some nice pieces and a good coach with a possibly very good pick coming up. Plus multiple picks too. Lots of potential trading pieces.

Ainge has the most chips in the league. I think he's just waiting for that superstar (cousins) to become available before he starts utilizing his assets and building a real team

I think what Ainge is missing is a true young stud he could trade along with his picks to get that star. And by moving the star he would not have much on his team to go by. The pick from the Nets really needs to be a top 3 to make sense.
I think this is where Raps might have an edge. What deal sounds better:
JV +Bruno + Bebe + Wright + 7th pick + 3 mid-first rounders
Or
Zeller + Sullinger + Smart + Turner+ 4th pick + 3 mid-first rounders
We can offer a much better starting point for Kings to move forward with. Only way Celts can top this is if they get a top 3 pick or if they sent Bradley or Thomas which defeats the purpose and they still won't compete.
Raptors becomes instant contenders. Maybe throw MLE at Gasol and you have:
Cousins/Biyombo
Gasol/Patterson
Caroll/Ross
Derozan/Powell
Lowry/Cojo

If the kings trade cousins its going to be for players that can fit in karls uptempo system. JV is the worst player for that system lol
