lin is a great player, doesn't do well all the time but certainly lives up to his contract this season. I think he is starting material on alot of teams, but on the hornets it doesn't really matter if he starts or not. The past few games until his ankle sprain, he was one of the closers, which I think is alot more important than a starter. In a way he is given more responsibility than a starter, in that the burden to win is placed partly on his shoulders.

The thing that is holding back lin, batum and the team overall is just bad timing and injuries. I honestly believe that if the hornets were 100% healthy up till now (including mkg and big Al), this team would be in the top 5 right now in the east, maybe higher.

Which teams do you think the hornets would be better than if Lin and batum was healthy or who would be your top 5 teams you would include the hornets in the east?

it would be the exact same as it is now, but hornets would be 5 spots higher. Cavs, Raptors, Bulls, Heat and Hawks. I think hornets at full strength, with kemba, mkg, batum, big Al, Lin/Lamb, Zeller, Frank would be able to keep up with the best teams in the east. If last season, the hornets got rid of big Al, kept biyombo, got another decent 3pt shooter, this team would be the best in the east or competing with cavs at the least.

He is on and off with his 3pt shooting...but it honestly looked like in this game and the last game he barely had his legs. i mean he missed a couple off easy bunnies last game as well.

His legs are putty right now. It's pretty obvious as he cant get pass his defender. His threes were all short --> no lift in the legs. Not aggressive at all.

I dunno man I saw him dunk pregame tonight he looked pretty good physically, I thought he was pretty aggressive while watching live, just missed a three or two that he should have made in front of his hometown (maybe nerves)

Kemba is 35% from 3, Lin is 34%.....eye test? The difference is like 1 made 3 point shot per 100

Would need to trade the entire team (plus MJ) for Steph Curry. Curry is the only consistent 3-point shooter in the league AND he can create his own 3-point shot. But then, I don't think the Warriors would make that trade.

NBA is definitely moving to a league of shooting 3s all the time.

On the one play that I saw where Lin collapsed into the paint because the big guy for the Dubs had a clear lane for a lay up and he passed it out to the three point line was a good play by Lin. Let them make a 40% three vs a 95% layup.
