So Interesting wrote:Brandon Ingram should be the number one pick. Love Simmons game but Ingram has no holes and has elite length. Almost 6'10 sf with a 7ft wingspan and can score from behind he arc or drive. He's Kevin Durant 2.0 and is only 18. As a Laker fan my pipe dream this off season is draft Ingram, and sign Derozan and Whiteside.. Getting both Derozan and Whiteside is a stretch but I do think we have a solid shot at maxing Derozan and pulling him away him from Boronto.. A Derozan and Ingram duo is lethal.

He actually has a 7'3 wingspan and a 9'1.5 standing reach. Which is insane for a true wing player. His defensive potential is freakishly high. Plus his jumper is flat out money

Don't think DD or Whiteside are a stretch.... just my opinion. Still, I'd rather Simmons by a mile but Ingram is clearly the #2 guy and he's closed the gap.

Interesting to look at 2014 versus 2016 top 2's. How are they ranked? I'm leaving out D'LO and KAT as they don't play the 3 or 4 the way those guys do/should. 4 person draft, who goes where??

Maybe 1 but signing both Whiteside and DD to max deal would be a mismanagement in cap. Cap hike or not you can't justify blowing 50M in cap on 2 players that are not even top 15 in the league.

Simmons really isn't that far ahead of Ingram but he is ahead of him. Honestly, Ingram has the most potential in this class.

Agreed. I feel exactly the same, if the draft was today I'm taking Simmons. But with each month I feel like Ingram is slowly catching him. By the time the draft comes around I wont be surprised if Ingram catches him. Elite wing scorers that gave elite height and length are rare

Once teams start scouting, it's going to be really hard to pass up on him. His a mismatch in the NBA. His length, skill and shooting ability is dangerous. You could talk about all of the other stuff but he will always be a mismatch in the NBA and those are your superstars for the most part.

Yup. He's going to really shine in workouts especially. He's also already a really solid defender and has a sky high potential on that side of the ball. Every team wants a Kawhi or Butler on their team. A 2 way star on the perimeter. Also his best asset is scoring from the perimeter, come playoff time, teams need elite perimeter scorers over elite facilitator.

Ingram with a good game.

25 pts on 10/16 and 4/6 from 3. 7 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block. He also had some really skilled scoring moves

Stop dreaming Laker fans......You are going to have to deal with a Booker/Ingram tandem for the next 15 years!

NC State coach after todays game

Gottfried: "We've played against Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram"...wouldn't be surprised to hear Brandon's name called first in the draft

Not going to lie, that would have the potential to be one high powered perimeter. Dont think Bledsoe is the best PG for them, but definitely a great building block

You are 100 percent correct on Bledsoe. Prayinf the Suns logo is on one of those first two ping pong balls. We will be 2-5 pre lotto.

Well, Ben did only score 4 points against them. But it could well happen although I still feel Ben.
This is will be a pretty amazing draft to have a top 2 pick I think

I just think its becoming clear that this isnt just a 1 man race like many have thought. This is becoming to look more and more like last year. Okafor looked like the lock for the 1st pick for most of the season and as the season went on Towns over took him. I wont be surprised if Ingram does the same to Simmons.

But I agree that the teams that get the top 2 picks will be very happy. The 3rd place team not so much haha

Ben Simmons had a Double double v NC state in Rebounds and assists. I don't think he even looked for his shot in that game. If he tried, he probably would have triple doubled

If a team picks Ingram before Ben Simmons, they will regret for a long long time. Ingram will struggle in the NBA.

I read your post and thought WTH, how did you draw that conclusion? Then I saw your Fav teams.

I love me some Ben Simmons but you're going a bit overboard posting everytime Ben has a decent game - and anytime Brandon has some minor struggles. I agree, I think BS will go first but BI is putting up some great games and teams are definitely going to notice.

A team with a need that feels there isn't a lot of difference between the two would probably go for Ingram I think. And while there are some GMs who may think that there is no one close to Ben, there may be others who don't see what those GMs see. In the eye of the beholder as they say

Ingram scoring from all over the court against State. He is very smooth and the dude is a sharp shooter

maybe you should look at your draft history before telling people there're dreaming.....based on your history, your coach will win just enough games to pick out of the top 5 range like Pho usually does.
