not that I am proud, but I broke my right hand three times in my life time, and I can tell you he is not gonna be in playing shape 4 to 6 weeks from now. it is more like 8 to 10 weeks... when a hand is in a cast for a month, the muscles atrophy. then the hand is in a a splint/removable cast but it doesn't help to build back the lost muscle. he will be out for 2 months mininum.

having said that, I agree with DLaren that this isn't as big of a deal as it appears to be. the causality of the injury is irrelavant. the duration of the injury is... unless you are Blake's mom and dad or his future in laws who must improve his character. the injury being his hand, he can surely do his cardio, and lower half of his body and it might give him a chance to work on his left hand, inside the painted area. I like how this team is playing right now. JJ and CP are leading the way and Paul Pierce is very active and engaged. DJ has more freedomt to roam in the middle on a pick and roll play with CP. no I don't think we are a championship caliber team without Blake, but we are a contender without him in the west, still in top 4. once we learn how to maximize our guys without Blake, it will come down to whether Doc can insert him back in on our roster in the most efficient role to maximize our total aggregate talent.

having said that, do i think we are a lock for a championship? of course not. but it still gives us a chance and that was all the Mavs needed back in 2011.
ehhhhh f it.

Rumblings of Griffin Being Preferred Trade Asset for Doc

I just finished listening to the podcast. Lowe, as usual, is intelligent and insightful in his takes. Windhorst talks about how Chris Paul and J.J. Redick are both playing the best basketball of their respective careers [around 18:53 timestamp]. Lowe goes on to mention how Doc envisions this team as a championship-level ballclub, but may have to break up the core if the Clippers don't get to at least the Western Conference Finals.

What's particularly of interest, is that Lowe has heard rumblings that if the Clippers had to make a trade of one of our Big 3, Blake Griffin would be his choice [around 39:10 timestamp]. However, Lowe goes on to say that he doesn't necessarily believe it; just only that he's heard such talk bandied about.

Not gonna listen just yet.

Only reason that makes sense is because Blake would fetch the biggest return.

I question whether Blake even wants to win after this latest incident. This is beyond stupid

I like his idea with the Toronto trade, though I think they'd have to move valanciunas to a third team to get some other guys to la.
Paul
Reddick
Ross
Patterson
Jordan
Allows them to fully commit to the cp3 deandre pick and roll, but with 4 40% 3 shooters on the floor, with solid defence. Valanciunas would have to be used to bring in a legit backup point guard and big.

Of Alcohol, A Girl, And Evidence

Post#108 » by Wammy Giveaway » Thu Jan 28, 2016 3:48 am

The Mason & Ireland Show had TMZ Sports reporter Van Lathan discuss the root of the Griffin incident.

1. A girl was in the middle of it.
2. Alcohol was involved.
3. There were witnesses and pictures. TMZ is working on getting them as of this post.

In other words, it's the Ray Rice punch all over again.

Based on the interview with the TMZ snoop Wammy linked to, it sounds like the whole group met for dinner at Coco Lezzone, then moved across the street to the bar at Sotto Sotto Ristorante for drinks, where the fight ended up happening.

I know Soto Soto in Toronto very well. North of them downtown core - a lot of the NBA guys hang out there.... Always tons of fans and pappz hanging outside.

As far as Lowe's proposed trade with Toronto... what was it?

Blake for JV, Ross and Patterson?

I believe it was Blake for Patterson, Ross, and as many picks as the Raptors can give to get it done or something like that. With the acknowledgmenet that the fit of Blake with DeRozan and JV would not be perfect, etc. I think that's what it was.

All these vulturous fantasy offers for Blake everyone's trying to make these days are so laughable. This is a top 5 player at the start of his prime we're talking about, borderline top 5 at worst. There's like 4 or 5 better assets than him in the whole league.

If they were seriously thinking of trading him (I could bet they aren't), they could easily wait until draft day and whoever lands Simmons will be more than happy to offer him + additional assets to get Blake, just like the Cavs did for Love. You could get young blue chippers like Giannis or Porzingis + more assets. Any team trying to seriously field an offer for him would offer a package built around their best asset unless that's Davis, Durant, Curry or Lebron. I laugh my ass off at an offer from Toronto that doesn't include any of their 4 best players, that's pretty infantile stuff and Lowe should know better.

But it's a moot point anyway, since he's not getting traded.

that's me these days.

combination of anger and laughter at these dumb trades. try to explain it. annoyed that it's a waste of emotions anyway since he's not getting traded. move on.

forced to repeat sequence again as each new trade comes up. someone make it stop

have to agree. all this trade stuff is tiresome. the only people that will most likely get traded will not make a difference anyway. plus who could we trade that would return something positive.

While I'm positive the Raptors would love to have Blake ... I think if they depleted their bench scoring completely to fill a perceived gap at 4, they'd be further behind than they are now.

I think any contending team that traded for Blake would like to offer picks and prospects but not multiple rotation guys.

NO disrespect at all to Blake

Well the Clippers would certainly laugh off an offer of Patterson and Ross themselves, that is unless that pick was some special player. For the Raptors it's a no brainer. Bench scoring is the last worry since Scola now becomes a bench player, so there's the bench scoring. Then we're talking about 13.5 pts/36 from Ross and 9.5 pts/36 from Patterson, that's not hard scoring to replace, that's an MLE free agent.

They have something to say on the Griffin incident too. There are rumors that if the banners are taken down, then a trade is coming:
