Viacom took a big hit over bad earnings and cord cutting concerns.

Chael and another big name for grappling
Hogan/Goldberg
Dunno about boxing... maybe Tyson? Roy Jones?
And the two HOFers... Shamrock, Severn, Couture... probably two of them... not sure who isn't on good terms with UFC

Shamrock/Severn in MMA
Rey Mysterio/Angle in pro wrestling
Bisping/Chael in "MMA grappling"
Roy Jones Jr. vs. a fan for $100,000

Yikes.

UFC guys have done grappling matches before. My questions were when is this supposed to be and does Bellator not have Shamrock locked into an inclusive MMA contract? Also id this for real?

March 20th in Phoenix on PPV.

That's the question I have too... I don't remember, is Arizona sketchy with licensing? Because Shamrock's fighting a month before... this whole thing is weird.

True, but this smells more like something the UFC would not be cool with. Especially with Bisping's upcoming fight with Silva. Don't know if this is before or after, or even really happening, but I'd guess the UFC wouldn't want Bisping involved regardless.

Sterling and Overeem have resigned with the UFC.

Overeem for sure needed to be resigned, especially coming off a KO of their former champ. With a lack of top level talent in the HW division, retaining what talent they have is crucial.

Admittedly I haven't seen much of Sterling but he is a top talent and he's young so makes sense to resign him.

Hm why not? Seems like lots of UFC guys compete in grappling competitions or grappling superfights and ufc doesn't seem to care too much. Rory even when he was number one contender, Barnett, Rani Yahya, Lauzon, Bendo, Joe Soto just off the top of my head.

Lol just read a quote from Cerrone saying he is 175 at this moment and he drank beer last night, ate fruit rollups this morning, and was on his way to see Deadpool and eat buttery popcorn haha.

Maybe it's more common than I realize. I guess I'm still stuck in the days of them telling Fedor he can't do sambo (if that was even really a thing). Just seems like they would be against him going against Chael in an "MMA grappling" contest on some freakshow event when he has the Silva fight coming up. I just checked and the Silva fight is first (didn't realize it was so soon), so that probably helps.

Kudos to Travis Browne for apparently saving the life of Ronda Rousey who told Ellen she was thinking about offing herself until she looked up and saw Bigger Browne.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/2/16/11016352/ronda-rousey-i-was-knocked-out-on-my-feet-the-first-time-i-got-hit-by

"Honestly, my thought, I was like, in the medical room and I was like down in the corner, I was in the corner and I was like ‘what am I any more if I’m not this?’", Rousey said. "I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like ‘I’m nothing, what do I do anymore and no one gives a sh*t about me anymore without this.’"

According to the former champion, that’s when her boyfriend Travis Browne helped her the most.

"And to be honest I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies," she said. "I need to stay alive. Really that was it.’ I haven’t told anybody that. I only told him."

Beneath all the bravado, Rousey has come off as a deeply insure person before. Like when she flipped out on TUF because they sprung Tate on her and she thought Tate was replacing her and not Zingano. Well she didn't exactly have a normal childhood.

Probably threadworthy depending on how this develops, but BJ Penn has been accused of sexual assault.

It's hard to take someone seriously when they're taking these sexual assault allegations to Twitter and referring to the victim as "my Playboy model GF." :dontknow:
