Obviously Colangelo wants to deal him when he's putting big numbers and people still believe in him.

Dont be fooled by his wonderful postup game.

I have seen him play enough times to understand that he is a game changer and his upside is huge.
On defense he needs to improve but he is not like Pekovic or Kanter....he reminds me Al Jefferson but with better mobility... and a mobile Al Jefferson is an All Star for a ton of years in the NBA.

We will see how he develops.

At this point, there is nothing we can do to get any better or worse.

I would however like to see Knight traded at some point (either by the deadline or the offseason). Booker has shown he will be a star, so inhibiting his growth and playing time will be a detriment. We have a decent 3 man guard rotation for the rest of the year, only boosting both Archie and Knight's value. I am for keeping Archie for the longhaul....he's shown that he can be good.

The problem with trading Tucker is that we literally have no SF's on the roster. I suppose we can play Booker/Archie/Goodwin for small ball stretches, and possibly Chandler/Len/Markieff for big man stretches.

Yes. Agreed. I don't know why so many want a trade to happen, ESPECIALLY those that want McD gone.

If we trade Kieff, McD has finally traded the one piece so many fans want gone, thus solidifying his worth as a GM.

If we get good value, again, McD has 'done it again'; if he gets poor value, well, Kieff wasn't worth much anyway with his attitude, felony, poor play, and so on, and McD is still 'safe'.

If we make any trades that immediately improve our team, we lose our decent chance at a top 3 pick, since our team improves, thus 'proving' McD is a good GM.

...or...McD scores a draft pick, we continue to stink, and McD makes a couple of great draft picks, and fans get excited again, and McD 'extends his stay' a little longer.

But if we don't make a trade, we continue to 'stink', then get a better chance of getting a top 3 pick, and if Kieff continues with his 'good' play, he improves his value, especially if his case I settled, but here's the thing, McD is in trouble, because the public pressure will be on Sarver to 'change' our FO because we still have Kieff, so McD's butt gets REEEAAALLL warm, and the McDoNothingRight is fired, even though our team is likely to improve the most in that scenario, in the long run.

So those who think this is the worst Suns roster in the history of the Suns, and think McD needs to go...well, you all should be praying and hoping that McD doesn't complete a 23rd hour deal with trading Kieff, because if he does, well, then he's likely saved his job until next season, at least.

Marc Stein:
Among the many things Phoenix is discussing today, sources say, is dealing Mirza Teletovic to Milwaukee. But the Bucks' largest trade exception is agonizingly too small ($5.2 million) to absorb Teletovic's $5.5 million salary, so any deal would have to involve players from both teams.

I don't buy the Mirza to Milwaukee rumor at all. Why on earth would the bucks have any interest in trading for an expiring Mirza? Makes no sense at all.

I do think Mirza gets dealt today. To a contender for a future 2nd rounder.

Kidd worked with Teletovic in Brooklyn.

The Suns, of course, continue to shop Markieff Morris and have been fielding interest from Toronto (among others) in PJ Tucker for some time

I'd take Okafor and rely on the fact he's only 20 and that he can mature (maybe before he's allowed to drink)

Exactly. I don't know much about the Okafor situation, but from what I've heard, guys were baiting him to get into a fight, which happens as people are out for money (not saying that is right)...he didn't chase a guy down at a hs basketball game to beat him up and doesn't have the history that the twins do.

Regardless, I don't want Markieff, who won't be a starting PF on a contender unless surrounded by a couple of superstars and Okafor would cost too much.

As for those talking about Okafor's D, I think he can improve. Booker can't play D either.....I don't see people saying they don't want him....because he can't play D...same with Warren. Even Nash.

agreed. This kid has 19 years old, with super top post offence. Jesus :noway:

The issue is position; there's a big difference in a SG who can't play D vice a Center who can't play D.

But in theory, I agree. Okafor does a couple of things, if we were to get him. Provides us a 'bigger name' than any other player on our team, and gives us a better offensive option at Center than Len or Chandler bring. That might aid us in the offseason to get a player or two.

I don't know how much say a player gets in where he's traded to, but in the above scenario, if there is an All-NBA player that is looking for a trade, and sees we have a young corps of Okafor, Booker, Warren, Bledsoe, Len, and maybe even Goodwin and Bogdanovic, maybe, MAYBE that player explores getting traded to Phx. IDK if that's realistic or not, but even though this year's FA class isn't stellar, there are still some decent players that will be looking for new homes; maybe that roster intrigues one or two???

Vasquez's out for the season. He's just a salary filler.

Would you give up the CLE pick to get Ennis back? How about two 2nd rounders? I'd definitely give up 2nds, torn about the 1st. IDK.

Vasquez is just a $6.6 mil. expiring. Honestly I would trade Tele and Archie to Bucks for MCW and Vasquez's expiring contract. MCW is a better PG than the 3 we have running it and younger.

That's an interesting idea. Trade Archie for one of the few players in the league that is actually a worse shooter. :D
