This is false, Westbrook was abusing Curry on the post until they made switches and started helping out. Also Westbrook was terrible this game

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

just look at the 8th and 9th three by Curry, it's like he fired a three in the middle of dribbling and his legs and lower body were not in shooting motion. That's something I haven't seen from another shooter.

He made a couple of shots on him in the post, but other than that, whenever Westbrook tried to take Curry off the dribble, he struggled. He had more success against Klay and Iggy than he did Curry when he tried to do that.

Curry's defense was really good. Obviously, he's still weaker, so he can be posted up with some success, but his perimeter defense was excellent.

Curry's numbers in february (10 games):

36.7 PTS / 5.3 REB / 7.6 AST / 1.9 STL with 3.6 TO in 34.6 MPG (PER36: ~38/8)
71.6 TS%, 55.1 2P%, 54.3 3P% (6.7/12.5 3P/3PA), 128 ORTG, 35.4 USG%

Does anybody keep track of the best individual months of superstar-level players? If so, how does this month stack up against other incredible months with, let's say, at least 8 games? Maybe I'll check out some players and edit this post to provide some numbers.

___

A quick research for a few great offensive players - Curry's run stacks up extremely favorable against them, number-wise:

Durant, January, 2013/14
35.9 PTS / 6.1 REB / 6.1 AST in 38.3 MPG, 131 ORTG, 68.5 TS%, 34.8 USG%

LeBron, February, 2012/13
29.7 PTS / 7.5 REB / 7.8 AST in 38.0 MPG, 137 ORTG, 72.7 TS%, 30.1 USG%

LeBron, February, 2009/10
32.6 PTS / 6.8 REB / 10.5 AST in 41.4 MPG, 130 ORTG, 62.3 TS%, 32.6 USG%

Shaq, March, 1999/00
33.8 PTS / 12.3 REB / 4.0 AST in 39.4 MPG, 123 ORTG, 60.6 TS%, 34.0 USG%

Jordan, March, 1989/90
36.4 PTS / 8.1 REB / 5.9 AST in 39.7 MPG, 133 ORTG, 63.6 TS%, 34.2 USG%

Magic, March, 1986/87
21.7 PTS / 6.8 REB / 14.6 AST in 33.4 MPG, 130 ORTG, 65.7 TS%, 24.6 USG%

Bird, 1985/86
30.9 PTS / 9.1 REB / 6.5 AST in 37.5 MPG, 130 ORTG, 65.6 TS%, 29.0 USG%

Curry: 55 gms, 1859 mp, 33.8mpg

Curry+2: 52 gms, 1368 mp, 26.3mpg
Curry+3: 51 gms, 476 mp, 9.3mpg
Curry+4: 30 gms, 138 mp, 4.6mpg

I believe the difference between the big3 and so called big4/big5 is pretty clear.

So now your argument has nothing to do with the original argument...

Okay well let me just say: I'm not a Klay hater. I thought he deserved his all-star spot this year.

Sorry for reacting a bit late, but how so? If you didn't understand, which I don't really believe, Curry+2 means Curry/Green/Thompson, so it has exactly to do with the original argument of it being a big 3. Thompson/Green/Curry are among the top 3 in both total minutes or minutes per game for a 3 man line up, therefore you could be speaking of a big 3. Add Iguodola/Barnes (which completes Curry+4) and they are not close to being the top Warriors line up, let alone being close to top 3 of the league. So they are the ones that are not really relevant as an argument.

I do not even have to mention that Curry's TS% drops from 71% to 61.8% when Klay is not on court. So talking about Klay not being an important part for Curry's game...

Not even close.. That was the worst 2k defense I've seen. They kept giving him insane seperation on every obvious step back. Curry in real life makes much more difficult shots with much less room. 2K has yet to be able to replicate that

You made an argument based on a pattern of +/- stats, I responded by expanding on that pattern and making clear that it doesn't really make sense to make the argument you did based on those types of patterns. You then responded based on a pattern of minutes without any mention of +/- stats.

I think we all are find with the idea that Klay is the 3rd most important Warrior and that that is a pretty awesome accomplishment given what the Warriors are doing, and hence to the extent there is a Big 3 he's part of it, but I see nothing in the +/- data that particularly points to the Warriors operating as a "Big 3" much beyond what other teams do.
