After listening the podcast i must admit it was very educating.
First off the team wants Giannis to put another 20 or so pounds of weight .Giannis does additional training when he feels he played bad,he goes on the court ( on shocks not wearing shoes lol) and does 1 or 2 hours personal training.
He loves basketball and read everything people say about him,he was laughing when people were saying that in nba they barely do training due to games.
Altalnta Hawks were trying frantically to get Giannis, his agent heard them literally begging Bucks to not draft him by offering future picks and even salary ( ?)
According to his agent Giannis at point GUARD is a done deal.He said Giannis always was a point guard but he needed more time to transition that in the NBA level.
Kidd wanted to put Giannis on point much earlier on point but Giannis wasnt confident ( around November) .

Hahaha , kostas provokes Giannis all the time, he taunts him asking " whats up bro, you gonna shoot already ? Stop chickening out "

Giannis and Jabari program got hold 1 year because we were winning and because Jabari got injured.
Greek NT coahc is fully 100 % behind Giannis and he is determined to build the NT around him.

This podcast made me view Hammond and Kidd on a different light, i still believe that Kid is a bad coach but when it comes to GIannis individual development he is has been very good.

Lastly, his agent said that Giannis will be the highest paid Buck this year.

The only bad news(for non-greek buck fans) for Giannis' development, at least on his shot, is the Greece NT part where from what I understood Giannis will definetely travel to Italy and if we qualify to Brazil also.

Other than that.

PG of the future.
He will sign this Summer without any kind of drama.
He keeps practicing like crazy.

I was a bit surprised about that. The last summer when Giannis put more weight he said that he was uncomfortable and that he wanted to lose a bit. I don't know why they want him to do that.. Plays like the 1vs5 coast to coast dunks would be much more difficult for him and the injury danger will be much higher with the way he plays..
And anyway he already proved to be strong enough for the the positions 1-3 and most of the 4s plus a few centers of the league.

Maybe that info about pounds wont hold much now that he plays at point as the Bucks want him as the defacto point guard for the team.
I mean why would you want to add more weight to a player that needs to keep his quickness and versatility .

I don't know as long as it happens gradually maybe is for the best. He is still quite thin, a bit more weight will make him stronger so it will help him in rebounding, posting up, finishing through contact. Maybe he will become a bit more explosive as well (that depends on the athlete). He shouldn't rush it though as it can affect his fluidity, maybe add a few pounds this year and let his body mature into it.

Considering point Giannis was a top 3 PG for a month and showed no signs of declining when Kidd put him more off ball (in favor or Bayless), you'd have to think Kidd knows he is the PG of the future

Hmm, I'm not as concerned. I could see Giannis adding 15 pounds to his frame without losing quickness. That extra muscle would expand his game even more imo

Like ive said, his agent is confident that Giannis at PG is a done deal. The Bucks share the same mentality and wanted to put him there sooner but Giannis wasn't confident.
Kidd was promoting the point Giannis a lot.

I don't think an extra 10-15 lbs hurts him. Durant is slightly smaller and he's anywhere around 235-240. And we've seen that Giannis is a freak in terms of being able to add muscle while still retaining his explosiveness.

However, refining his skills needs to be priority #1 and gaining too much size can sometimes hamper that development. His jumper took a step backwards when he grew from 6'9 to 6'11 and caused him to completely alter his mechanics and form. His playing weight come this August should be his playing weight for the foreseeable future. He finally looks to be getting comfortable playing in his own body.

Speaking of his shooting. The Greek NT coach Katsikaris said he seen a big improvement on his shooting form and that is a matter of time from him until his muscle memory trikes in and allows him to make those.

Three conclusions:

1) Giannis at PG is not going to workfor now for Greece due to the lack of shooting from the backcourt.
2) Kidd(and the bucks) wanted giannis to play PG from november. He wasn't confident. What i don't know if he isn't confident about being the ball handler in the final mins. If he isn't, then watching bayless and middleton takin' over at crunch time has an explanation....
So...kidd proves to be the guy that can develop giannis and criticism on that matter isn't solid.
He continues to be a bad coach and GM but he can be crucial in the "big 3"(hate this phrase btw) development. So he must stay :onfire: because only this matters for now.
3) Giannis will be away with NT for 3 months(if they make the onlympics). Add a month of rest after NBAs season ending and olympic games ending... 4 months.

He has 1 month(may) to work only for himself.

He's not at his natural weight yet. Dude is still stretched out, he's not going to lose anything getting stronger.
