Re: Giannis' Development
You can build around point Giannis. He's a triple double threat every night. Hes close to being a 20/10/10/2/2 and hasn't even got his jump shot yet. I see no reason why his jump shot won't be falling in the next 12 to 18 months making him unstoppable. Oh and wouldn't he be like a junior in college? He's crazy young. He could be an MVP and destroying the league for a decade or so. He could be surrounded by the right role players and keep HCs up at night not knowing how to handle him.
He is as untradeable as it gets.

Celtics fans know what to think of Giannis now. Read their game and pg thread. It's a no brainer now. You don't trade him for anyone. Most important: he wants to stay long term.

I will have a read now. Im assuming its changed from last year when they wouldn't have traded Olynyk for Giannis

Put me in the "love him too much to trade him for anybody, even if wrong decision" category

People always talk about players who can guard 1-5...but what about players who just ARE 1-5? Not just defense, but every facet of basketball? A player with the full capabilities of center (rim protection, rebounding, post game, post defense), the full capabilities of a point guard (ball handling, playmaking, game flow/tempo management, ability to defend guards), and everything in between. He's got a ways to go, the jumpshot being the main thing. But if he develops into a good shooter and continues his upward trend athletically to help defend smaller guards...is that not approaching the model of the ideal basketball player? Maybe it's the bud talking but I've just never seen a talent like Giannis and it's blowing my mind more and more each game.
Nope. Magic and Lebron were big players with ball handling skills that could and did play every position on the court depending on circumstance.
It's not a new concept. Just exceedingly rare to hit that level.

And Steph wanted to play for Mark Jackson forever. Here's hoping Bucks ownership was taking notes on that.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Happy to be corrected, but I feel like neither of those guys defended C's. And I mean like proper C's, like Giannis has.

Re: Giannis' Development
I think Giannis is taking things to another level that even the great LBJ or Magic haven't done. He's simply taller and longer then those 2 guys. Making him even more of a rarity from a length/skill/athletic perspective. Hopefully one day he can be remotely in the same breath as an overall player as these 2.

Well Magic did start at center in the Finals in a much better big men era

Fair enough. Who was the opposing centre?

Re: Giannis' Development
No way do I trade Giannis for Durant. Maybe if the Bucks were like a three seed and on the cusp then I'd at least entertain the idea but given Giannis' age and contract I think you keep him.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Re: Giannis' Development
Well I think the assumption here is theoretical that KD would be signed to a long term deal where you don't have to worry about the contract issue.
Millbuck, all true. However, all the same could be said about LBJ 12 years ago so it's not like this is the first time it's been done.

Has Giannis stopped growing? What is he now? 7'1?
