how is it worse for hockey when its a hockey stat and just got incorporated to the nba fairly recently?

As a person who's into hockey analytics, trust me, plus minus is a horrible stat.

nope sorry. As a hockey fan, it's a stat that is respected in the nhl way more so than it is in the nba. There are about a hundred hockey players who are in the nhl just because of their rep of having a good +/-

Yes, but how does it make it a good stat?

It's an outdated stat.

Basically, my point is that plus minus is a horrible stat because it does not account for the many factors that come into play in a game. For instance, a player might have a bad plus minus because of harder zone starts, low shooting percentage etc, on ice save percentage etc.

It's why you can't draw anything from it. I mean Ovi a few seasons ago had the worst +/- in the league. He scored 50+ goals that season. Clearly, he wasn't the worst player in the league.

Also, the people who employ hockey players based on +/- should be fired. Plus minus has zero predictive ability.

"let us play"
"Carroll touched my elbow"

Carroll also stole your homework and your lunch.

PG has cemented himself as a top 5 whiner in the NBA.

Poor guy. In shambles right now.

Obviously, he wants the refs to let the Pacers "play", but call ticky-tack fouls on the Raptors. It's only fair.

Pretty much.

Monta Ellis was 3/9 tonight, Hill was 3/7, PG was 6/19. Who else was Demar guarding that he let by to score every time?

Carroll did in PG, Ellis and Hill were cleaned up by Patterson and Biyombo after they went past DD en-route to the bucket.

I asked who he let by to score? Who torched us tonight that Demar was guarding please let me know. He played within his role on defence & we had a good game.

Barkley making excuses and saying the Pacers came out flat. Didn't give us any credit. Kenny was basically like "Chuck...they're the better team. They're the 2 seed". lol

Biz and Pat are a unreal duo on defence right now, nobody is getting anything easy in the paint vs us.

Life is good.

Barkley flipped on us after game 1 and said he's picking the Pacers to win the series. Since then
Raps are 2-0 lol

I have nothing against Scola, he is a great guy and a great veteran. But I think we all can agree he shouldnt even be in the spot he is in.
