I've since watched more and caught more of his good games and thought less about where he is as a big and more about what he's blessed with. His mobility is off the charts. I'm talking Nerlens Noel mobile. He covers a ton of ground and showcases rare coordination, second jump, and overall explosiveness for a big. The jump shot looks unblockable.

He needs a lot of work. He's still raw. He needs to put more weight on and it may not be easy to do. Of all the lotto prospects, he's probably further away from his ceiling than everyone but Bender but I now understand more of the hype and the Raptors should be less concerned with who will be best over the next couple years and more focused on finding the type of player who many around the league will wish they had 4 years out and who might be the type who could go top 6 in a re-draft experiment that far out. Maybe Skal Labissiere is that guy?

I'm on board with him as a long-term prospect. High upside. But his defensive potential seems easier to imagine initially and should minimize some of the downside risk of his floor.

Skai's freshman year was no worse than Myles Turner. Both were the #2 ranked high school player going into college. If anything, Skai has way better talent around him than turner did.

The first 4 games of the playoffs have completely reinvigorated my faith in JV. Today was his worst defensive game, but he shot 6-7 from the field and 4-4 from the line. I want us to draft Rabb if nobody falls. He's the ideal frontcourt mate for JV long term with the ability to defend on the perimeter, decent shot blocking, very good passing and overall feel for the game. I'm also ok with Davis and Luwawu still. Not quite sold on Jackson. Would rather let Delon get a few more minutes next year and see how he develops.

Possible sleeper. Raw but put up decent per minute stats. Got declared ineligible cause of bad grades late in the year so I think that made him declare earlier than he would have

Just how badly does nbadraft.net think Denver needs PFs? They have them taking Sabonis, Davis and Ellenson with their first round picks, and Perry Ellis with a second round pick.

What are they going to do with 4 extra PFs? LOL.

http://www.nbadraft.net/2016mock_draft

Also, does Boston really have 8 picks in this draft? I wonder what it would take to get #16 from them. Obviously they wouldn't want #27 back. Just a player or a future pick.

Trade #27 and our 2017 2nd round pick for #31 and #35. Allows Boston to consolidate and move up. Allows the Raptors to pick 2 Euro stash players. Maybe 2 of these three: Hernangomez, Cornelie, Cordinier. Or maybe even Demitrius Jackson and Luwawu, if you believe (like nbadraft.net) that these two will fall to the second round.

From that all I see is a dunker....literally never seen any of his game so can he do anything else well besides jump??

Right now I have serious doubt he's anything more than that considering he didn't get a chance to play and was/is barely on anyone's radar. If you really have any game with that kind of freak athleticism surely you can play hard enough to at least get mentioned in the 1st rd and who knows how high?! Right now he's such an unknown he can go undrafted (which I know is no problem in that case) but if he gets picked up late second round many of those guys teams don't really bother putting any resources or time into and they'e gone out of the league in a couple of years and no one even knew they existed. So again I don't see why if he had the skill why wouldn't try to get in the 1st round and at least get a guaranteed contract.

He played 21mpg so his raw stats are 11/4 but his per minute stats are pretty good: 20.4 pts, .61 TS%, 8.1 reb, 1.5 ast, 1.3 stl, 2.5 blk per 40 minutes. Per 40 that's as good a statline as Ingram and Brown basically, which isn't the same as doing it in 35mpg, but nonetheless

^^Hmm, interesting I guess with OUR pick he's worth a look at (Derrick Jones Jr).

OT I find for the DEN/NY pick my choice goes into certain brackets...

Who would I like to drop to us:

1. Jamal Murray
2. Buddy Hield
3. Jaylen Brown

(I just don't see Bender falling to 9th or he would be #1 or #2, not sure because I do like JM's upside a lot)

Who realistically would I like us to take:

1. Timothe Luwawu OR Skal Labissere

Who do I think Masai will actually draft:

1. Ivan Rabb

Who is the awful "pick for fit" Coin Toss Ross make me wanna puke my brains out pick:

1. Domatas Sabonis
2. Jakob Poeltl

Honourable Mentions that have nice upside who I won't freak if we pick but not fully sold on:

Marquess Chriss, Demetrius Jackson, Furkan Korkmaz, Malik Beasley, Denzel Valentine

I'll be the most pumped up if we grab Murray. If we realistically take Luwawu I'll still feel pretty awesome about this draft and if we take Skal I totally see myself selling myself on his upside because he has a lot, I see offensively potential to be something like KAT. I think Cal does a terrible job of using his big men's offensive game outside of the traditional back to the basket hence why Davis looked like nothing but a defensive player and KAT seemed decent but wasn't able to showcase everything and now see a completely different level prospect. I get the feeling that Skal offensively is victim to the same issue and has way more that he is capable of than what we've seen because Cal doesn't know how to incorporate the stretch game into his system yet and when he couldn't really take to it as Davis couldn't he did have some shotblocking but didn't have the rebounding Cal wanted so he buried him. Skal seems like he can be a great shotblocker, he just has to be more aggressive going after boards and he would be arguably right there with Simmons or Ingram. Seems the more I look at Skal, the more I want us to take that gamble.

Ivan Rabb imo just seems to have the combination of upside, maturity, 2 way player and fit that I think is going to make Masai give him the nod. He's just a rookie that I think can come in and contribute quicker and still has room to develop and grow into a borderline all star type player with time but not quite the notch above as I see with Luwawu if Masai is a little more patient. I just think Masai is going to bring in a kid the fans can see more of and get to know plus be at a position of need. All the other guys in the HM, I don't mind if we get, will just feel kind of ok on like I did Wright but just hope they can also surprise to be better than I expected.

Wow I'm shocked...terrible decision to go back to a deeper draft class n risk having a year that doesn't go to plan or an injury when you're a top 10 pick.

Guess Skal it is.

**** it I'm sold on Deyonta Davis. Watch this video and you can see that Kawhi/Norman demeanour in him. Doesn't say much but lets his game do the talking. He would be a great addition to see this team. Don't mess this up Masai

The only way it really affects us is if he went top 8 and caused a drop. That part sucks.

Hearing everything they say about his personality it's not a huge surprise. Both him and Brown I thought might stay. Very intelligent guys that happen to be good at basketball. I would be surprised if he stayed all four years to get his degree - he knows he will be drafted whenever he comes out and he might not want to go to a lottery team - he might want to be drafted by a playoff team. We'll see but I'm not surprised and that just moves up Davis in the list.

With Rabb going back to college, I guess Davis is my pick now.

Just a thought, but perhaps with the success of the team and the clear role a guy like Davis would play here it's an ideal development situation. JV is the bruiser, post scorer and rebounder and the team needs a rim protector with shooting range. I am actually hoping Demar leaves for L.A. at this point. I like the guy, but I think Powell's hard nosed defense is better for the "culture" of the team. But I'm just thinking out loud.

If he falls I'd love for us to pick up Brown as well, but I don't see him slipping that far.

Yup.

For me it's either him or Jackson. I see loads of potential in both of them.

A bit of a bonus that both are pretty much local guys too (Michigan).

Thanks for sharing. I like that he seems goal driven (wrote all his goals on the wall back in HS) & mature. Has his own reasons to strive to get better. So far, he seems to be one of those prospects with a good head on his shoulders.

Not really seeing the offensive game from D.Davis compared to M.Chriss or even Skal at his height.
