lin needs to up his conditioning or something during the offseason if he wants to be a starter. he's not built to play his style of game for more than 30 minutes per game.

He just scored 21 out of the total 89 points ( Kemba got 34) I don't know what there is to complain about him at the moment.
I mean, was he doing well in this game?

i mean im as happy as anybody at the job he's done this game but he was very out of his element in the 4th quarter. a couple of head-scratching turnovers and defensive miscues which i attribute to fatigue.

The whole team was gassed. They played out of the minds on defense. I don't mind aggressive charging fouls from Lin. It's a fine line between a charge and a block. I thought Lin played great and with Kemba, took turns carrying the team at various times in the game.

I was fine with Lin's aggressiveness in the 4th, he had a big game and was getting whistles all game, made sense to keep going with it.

So far Lin is the MVP of this series. Kemba is right there, but Jeremy changed the direction of the game in both wins.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Lin was shaky in the 4th but otherwise a great game, he was also instrumental in taking Dragic out of the game by drawing fouls. The team was flat to start off the game and once again Lin came in to give them a huge spark.

I mean I don't agree with that at all.
(a) Lin is not a higher energy player than Cody. I'm not sure on what basis you can conclude that he is a higher energy player than Lee, Marv, Kemba, or even someone like Frank.
(b) Lin has been massively inconsistent in his energy level throughout the season. He has had some great games, but he has had some embarrassing ones as well.
I like Lin a lot, but let's try to rein in this talk of him being a total fireball whenever he is on the floor.
Probably because he was negatively criticized for going 100 mph and now people are saying he's not a higher energy player than half the team....

I didn't think he adjusted well. Spo put Haslem on him who could keep up with him, and Lin still kept on driving it.

Looks like Holly the accidental tattoo girl finally met Jeremy. Hilarious read in her twitter timeline. Runs through Jeremy's brother, Kemba, MJ, Dikembe, Kemba's entire family, before she finally met Jeremy with all those obstacles in the way
So, Hornets have won all 3 games she attended. Someone should fly her and her good luck charm tattoo down to Miami for game 5 to secure the win. If the Hornets lose game 5, we can blame MJ for being too cheap to spring for a plane ticket.

Re: Not In The Face - The Jeremy Lin Thread 3
Lin carried the team in the 1st half, without his spark this is likely a loss. He played out of his mind during that 1st half but in the 2nd as the whistle got scarce for him and he started to get fatigued he just didnt have the same impact. He picked his spots and shot good shots and moving that ball around well. As usual his other big impact was his relentless hustle on defense as he was closing out and still recovering in time to help inside.
The two charges in the 4th i feel were totally bogus. Haslem wasnt set and his feet were clearly still shuffling as Jeremy attacked the edge. Whiteside literally walked Lin out of bounds, even though it was obvious Lin was fishing for a call.
Lin lately tends to get his calls early and later on it tightens up for him. An interesting trend, i think the refs want to establish that it's NOT open season on Lin's head thus backing off defenders, but later on as the game gets tight Lin no longer gets any benefit of the doubt. Lin needs to adjust where he attacks relentlessly early getting FTs and layups and later on focus on his outside game as the lane is likely shut off due to him being slowed by stiffer defenders who are then allowed to push and hand check him a bit.
The last BOS game i felt was a blueprint on how Lin will be officiated from now on.

Re: Not In The Face - The Jeremy Lin Thread 3
These quotes were from the other side:
"I HATE Jeremy Lin!" - Fine line between hate and love.
"Somebody needs to get Lin ejected. WTH."
"I have to deal with this bull from Lin? Chalmers ain't die for this."
"why cant they stop Lin in the paint?" - Two words - first step.
"EVER SINCE PEOPLE IN THE MEDIA STARTED COMPLAINING ABOUT LIN NOT GETTING CALLS NOW THEY CALL A FOUL FOR BREATHING ON HIM" - Go Lin fans.
"Lin is just dominating. Wouldnt mind him on our team" - Trade Dragic and go after Lin.
"If the heat lose this series because of jermy Lin I might not watch another heat game" - You're welcome to watch Hornets games.
"Richardson getting blown by Lin and Kemba is discouraging, thought he'd be better than this, maybe not yet" - Give the rook a break.
"Deng gets hammered by Lin and they're looking at who the ball is offa of" - since when does Lin hammer anyone?
"So are we gonna act like Lin isn't the most predictable player in the league and that we still guard him wrong EVERY TIME??"
"We are Jeremy Lin's bitch and our guys are not bothered about playing like ****!"

Played 18 straight minutes. He can play many minutes but that's a lot of straight minutes, especially for playoff level basketball.
