i dont think anyone has ever claimed horford is a superstar. he is an elite role player, not an elite player

but he is an excellent 2 way player with an insane bbiq who pretty much makes you a lock playoff team as long as he isnt surrounded with dleague trash. and if you have decent talent around him you can win 50 or 60 games. if you add him to this team with no one else i think we make the playoffs

Al is a B Tier player...all star, solid two way guy.

I'm not even sure he's that anymore. He was one of my favorite fits for that Kidd-led Nets, but over the past few years, I think his ideal fit/role is in that Ho Grant/Charles Oakley mold: good sound defense, rebound, hit open jump shots, make occasional play off-ball.

And he's going to get max.

was thinking the same thing.... not so much Green but how Portland traded away Gerald Wallace for the pick that became Lillard....

when we suck, we are not compensated in draft picks...... when other teams do well, they still manage better draft selections than we do....

To be fair, I don't think Green develops into the player he is unless he plays under the right coach and system that would look past the traditional approach to basketball, actually give him the minutes to show what he's capable of doing, and utilize his strengths.

I can picture several NBA coaches over the last 5 years who probably would've kept him glued to the bench because he doesn't fit their vision of what a prototypical player should be. I'm glad this new era of basketball is showing that height isn't everything. BBIQ is so important.

Stating something obvious here.....

Jimmy Butler and Kawhi Leonard on the same team would be so nasty....

JLin is on the list, and ranked 2nd best overall for on/off defensive rating differential of all players in the playoffs.

As much as I hate all the teams besides the Dubs. I'd like to see a Raptors/OKC or Dubs championship game

i dont think anyone realsitically thinks he is coming here. but i think its also still the biggest lock ever he leaves. and i dont think winning a title changes that.

a small(and unbalance) sample for a stat that is tough to rely on in a vacuum as is.

lin played 7 games vs a pretty poor offensive team. those other guys are mostly still playing into round 3. we have the entire season to go on as well, not sure why we arent using that data

Outside of Mike Conley, who isn't going to be paid 24 million dollars by the Nets when better options are out there next year, who do you think we should target at PG?

I get the sense we're going to be more active in trades rather than free agency. I could see us trading for Schroder or Teague, or Bledsoe/Knight/Goodwin

I'm not interested in giving Conley or Rondo max contracts. Conley because of the Achilles issue and it looks like he's declining. That's the only reason, because he'd be great for this team in the locker room and on the floor. Rondo, on court I don't have trouble with, its the fact that his reputation is horrible and I think the team isn't going to bring in guys who aren't going to buy into the culture or who can't put egos aside. Conley I think would buy in, I just worry about health and a moderate decline already at age 29...we made that mistake once already and it cost us heavily.
