Congrats on the win tonight. Durant & Westbrook pulled out their best Lowry & DeRozan impressions but you guys still got the W, that's really good news going forward in this series because we know this won't happen very often.

I can't believe they were that bad and won.

KD has clearly been watching Demar these playoffs and learnt how to brick 7 shots in a row.

Wow 538 gives OKC a 56% chance at winning the series. I can't believe they are favored to win now.

Wow, I thought people were underestimating OKC and thought this would be a close series, but I thought it'd come at the heels of Kevin Durant going bananas on them. He shot poorly, and they still won.

Back in high school I thought people were sleeping on Steven Adams. Nerlens Noel got all the hype, but Adams was just as good of a prospect, if not better. And right now he's probably the third most important player on a team that could win it all.

I love seeing the Warriors lose. OKC is totally capable of winning this series as long as they limit their turnovers.

Yep, they haven't played anybody good over the last two playoff runs until OKC here. LeBron + scrubs doesn't exactly count (and even they took 2 games off them).

Totally OT, but I'm here and excited tonight, went to the OKC/Philly game in March and got my pic w/ Adams post game.

Considering that KD hadn't been shooting at a historically terrible rate, I'd expect he wouldn't, and deservedly so.

You can acknowledge good games and bad games, but if you're looking to make conclusions you have to look at the full body of work.

Oh trust me, I can recall many more games even this post season I can refer too. I will grant you KD does generally shoot better than Demar but he is also vulnerable to bad streaks.

Point is this, in the playoffs stars are bound to have bad games. The defense is planned well in advance, studied and further improved as the series goes on.

With the exception of Steph Curry, it should be expected that players will have more challenging match ups preventing efficient shooting.

Pullin for OKC hard man.

I swear at times during Game 1, I was cheering and screaming at the Thunder like they were the raptors cuz i wanted them to win so badly.

I was laughing my ass off when durant bricked those 7 shots in a row. Totally Derozan like. Made me actually feel like i was watchin a raptors game

As a Raptors fan, I'm totally pulling for OKC too.

I'd love nothing more than an underdog final of OKC vs. Raps.

KD 10/30, Westb 7/21

by far the worst fg%'s on the TEAM! But kept on chucking . Brick bros. As an OKC fan, i look fwd to this summer when we can finally get rid of Durant (Dumax lmao not here!) . we'll dump Westbrook next year and tear it down proper.

RWB also had 11 FT's, 12 assists and 7 steals to help stave off the inefficiency.

In their wins, they've almost always had one of the two going off. In their playoff wins this year, Durant's had two inefficient games.

One where RWB goes 12/27 (44%) with 8 FT's, three 3's and 35 points. The other where RWB goes 7/19 (36.8%) but also with 8 FT's, three 3's, 25 points and 15 assists. While RWB hasn't been too efficient, his assist rate is at a career playoff high and he's still been more efficient than both Lowry/DD's.

Also note that Lowry doesn't get as much flak as Derozan because the main issue fans are whining about is contributing when your shot isn't falling rather than hurting the team. For comparison's sake:

Durant
54.5 TS%
WS 1.2, WS/48 0.134
OBPM 1.1, DBPM -0.2, BPM 0.9
VORP 0.3
ORtg 108, DRtg 108

Russell
51.9 TS%
WS 1.9, WS/48 0.233
OBPM 8.6, DPM 3.4, BPM 12
VORP 1.4
ORtg 114, DRtg 105

Lowry
48.1 TS%
WS 1.2, WS/48 0.101
OBPM 3.6, DBPM 0.8, BPM 4.4
VORP 0.9
Ortg 102, Drtg 104

Derozan
42.5 TS%
WS -0.1, WS/48 -0.007
OBPM -3.6, DBPM -1.0, BPM - 4.5
VORP -0.3
ORtg 91, DRtg 105

Durant's efficiency is higher than Demar's career efficiency..never mind playoffs. They also have a significantly better history that proves their worth, while Derozan's advanced stats has negatives and red flags throughout his entire career. I don't dislike DD..he's just in the wrong role, but people are desperately reaching to fit their narrative.

An insane 3 point shooting team going cold at home and losing to a team with two inefficient stars holding the opponent to less than 15 in the fourth quarter...who would have thunk it could work? We have a decent chance of knocking off Cleveland if we can win all our home games. Win ugly baby. It's the new sexy.

chalk that up to the long layoff. now if okc wins one of the next two, then you know it will be a series.

And if the GSW forum changed place with this Raptors forum, people here would definitely be calling for the ref's head for missing that obvious travel call that cost us the game and how the refs, the NBA, ESPN, CNN, PBS and Trump are all against us.

Seriously though... that game was more like an ugly Eastern Conference game where both teams played badly and neither team deserved the win but someone had to. Don't expect a repeat poor performance from Curry next game. Unfortunately, I'm not as confident in saying same about DeRozan.

No, you would still just be bitching every post about someones shooting and how they didn't deserve the max. It would just be Barnes.
