The list is pretty bad...

Mike Conley
Ish Smith
Matthew Dellavedova (R)
Mario Chalmers
D.J. Augustin
Isaiah Canaan (R)
Norris Cole
Langston Galloway (R)
Brandon Jennings
Ty Lawson
Jeremy Lin (P)
Brian Roberts
Rajon Rondo
Ramon Sessions
Jason Terry
Greivis Vasquez
Mo Williams (P)

Atkinson says that there are some talented PGs out there this offseason. I wonder who he was talking about lol.

Probably his boy Lin.

Rondo is talented but his attitude scares me off. I don't expect everyone to be a goody two shoes kind of guy but i expect maturity and leadership.

i think we need a guy like rondo... someone who is ultra competitive and will get on brook to be at his best.

Rondo is like rasheed wallace, surround him with thugs and poor management and you get a disaster. surround him with hard workers and good coaching and he is an enormous positive who can raise the level of the entire team

cancers prevent teams from winning titles. cancers disappear in the playoffs.

rondo has a ring, a couple finals appearances and has had some enormous playoff performances and clutch plays in huge games.

Rondo isnt a cancer. he is an alpha who doesnt see eye to eye with alot of people and wants things done on his terms. when it works it works well, when it doesnt, its ugly

i think this is a good fit for him

Rondo's teammates reportedly agreed not to give him a playoff share after an ugly end to a disappointing partnership. Also, the team faked an injury to get him away after Game 2.

The Dallas Mavericks got so frustrated with Rajon Rondo by the end of the season that the team made up an injury to send him to the bench and the players opted not to give him a playoff share, according to reports. The two sides have already "mutually agreed to part ways" this offseason, but now it appears that breakup was inevitable.

Rondo was benched after Game 2 of the Mavericks' first-round series against the Houston Rockets and didn't play again as Dallas was eliminated in five games. The team claimed that a back injury had sidelined Rondo indefinitely, but Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas reports that was simply to "save face" after the two sides decided to part ways.

"The truth was that the Mavs didn’t want Rondo, who was going to be replaced in the starting lineup regardless, pouting and rubbing off on other players, [Monta] Ellis in particular," MacMahon wrote. "Essentially, the Mavs made a drastic move in an attempt to do damage control on a chemistry crisis."

He hurt them in the playoffs and his teammates couldn't stand him. After the season he signed with Sacramento for a year because teams know he's a cancer.

Prok, while you admire Rondo's "alpha" attitude, he is a locker room cancer you can't deny that. Everything about Rondo that is known goes counter to what Marks wants to bring in here.

He basically got kicked off of the Mavericks, and got into it with Rivers, Carlisle, and Karl.

by the end of his Boston tenure they couldn't wait to get rid of him either. The owner of the Celtics threw Rondo under the bus and he was called "uncoachable", Ray Allen hated the guy's guts. Rivers wants nothing to do with him ever again. That's a serious red flag.

And then to go on a public tirade against a referee who is rumored to be a homosexual, calling him a f++++t repeatedly....no. Not cool...Rondo's a bad guy man...I doubt the Nets even contact his agent. You're not going to bring in someone like that especially when you want to change a team's culture. We just dealt with a few seasons of a PG who was all about himself and it derailed the Nets...and you want to do this again? No thanks.

The fact that you're applauding him because he wants things done his way and when they aren't he'll derail a team isn't an admirable trait, in what world is that admirable?? Being an NBA Alpha means you're a leader, not some spoiled brat who isn't coachable. NBA Alphas don't get kicked off of playoff teams in the middle of the playoffs

Russel Westbrook, Steph Curry, KD, Lebron, CP3...those are Alphas. Rondo isn't even close to that.

This dude went to the locker room to "COOL OFF" while his team was getting their heads smashed in. D-Will level stuff right there.

He missed a 3 pointer. Shortly after there was a foul and a full timeout. He went to the locker room, for about 3 minutes. He came back and the Cavs were shooting free throws (from the foul before the timeout).

It wasn't a situation where the guy sulks and goes to the locker room while the game is going on and the team is getting crushed. He was available on the bench. The lead went from 46-50 to 48-59 in the two minutes that he was on the bench.

The facts regarding the amount of time passed and the minor score increase don't account for the motivational and leadership aspects that have a tremendous impact on the game.

It's similar to when Derrick Rose tore his ACL for the first time. Despite Chicago being winning that opening game, the moment it happened I saw the faces of his teammates and posted on this board that the Bulls were going to lose. Others thought they still had enough firepower to beat the Sixers but you can't account for the motivation and the emotional loss of seeing your leader go down and knowing your championship aspirations go along with it.

Lowry is the leader of the team. If your leader is the first one to crack, there's no one to fill that space. Lowry and Derozan are the official captains of the team. If they're not going to show heart, every game will be a blowout.

I dont know, cancers tend to prevent their team from winning, he has been to multiple finals and won a championship while playing great basketball in the playoffs. so im not sure cancer fits. he is more like rasheed wallace, another alpha who was ultra competitive and if your losing and he doesnt thing everyone is doing their part he is going to let everyone know.

The fact that you're applauding him because he wants things done his way and when they aren't he'll derail a team isn't an admirable trait, in what world is that admirable?? sure he is. you are putting to much stock into a half seaosn with the mavs where he didnt want to be from day 1 coming off a major injury. the guy works as hard as anyone, wants to win as much as anyone, has a high iq and plays team ball.... if the occasional run in with the coach comes along with that im fine with it. him and rivers got into it all the time, it didnt stop rondo from having elite dominating playoff performances.

Why does it feel like the same people dissing Rondo were the same ones clamoring for the Nets to sign Ty Lawson just a few months ago?

Different situation. Some wanted Lawson to be signed for the season to avoid the dumpster fire point guards we were using. We're talking about committing to Rondo long term.

Could you be specific? Because I was one of the people against signing Lawson.

Rajon Rondo is not a good basketball player. This has been proven over and over and over again.

I wouldn't want him on a vet minimum contract.

Best part about Rondo is that you probably dont have to commit past 3 years.
