Here's my question...
Do you eat pork as a 5% or no?

Hell to the N.O.

Thanks.
I needed to know

Is there someone who is claiming to be a five percenter that eats Swine? if so that person is a fraud.

No. I just needed to know. I eat pork. It's rather good I think
I don't eat beef though...except in the summer where we grill hot dogs.
Weird? Maybe, but beef hurts my tummy. One of my sisters doesn't eat beef or pork. We don't cook for her.
I don't know any 5% though. Maybe I do and just don't know it. :dontknow:

Yeah meant in the rap game, it seems that Killarmy, Sunz Of Man, Killah Priest those cats are the only ones that are still really making music. I guess AZ put it best when they all turned into sinners. It seems now a days the only way people outside of NY even know about Five Percenters is through OZ with Lord Jamar.

Black Hippy is a damn group to me, those songs don't count in my mind.

Sunz of Man were not Five Percenters. They were Hebrew Israelites. They mixed alot of Language from the Gods, but they were not in the Nation. If you listen closely they speak a lot about angels and a lot of mysticall stuff, but from a Black Perspective. The Gods are Scientist, our Language is supreme mathematics. Same thing with Killarmy. The only one who was really a Five Percenter I would say is Killa Sin. The rest just used the language to sound fly on the mic. That AZ bar is not accurate fully. A large portion of Gods did become street cats instead of righteous, but that was not the full nation.

The Nation is alive and strong and teaching the Youth. Its just not represented in Hip Hop Like it used to be. There are a lot of things people get wrong about us, because you can't fully understand the culture, unless you walk and talk with the Gods and Earths. Most people don't know, but the WU are NOT five percenters. Most only did it cause all the youth of city were five percenters and for them it was a "cool" thing to do. The only fully sincere ones in Wu Tang was O.D.B and Masta KIllah. GZA and RZA they are more on the fray with it. RZA is a full blown Buddhist these days. He was actually Bombed at a Show and Prove( our annual children science fair) for wearing a diamond cross. Ghost and Raekwon are not five percenters. They talked the part early on...but in the end, they were not true and living.

Watch Protect your neck. The only one who had the Universal Flag Pin on was O.D.B.( its on his Jacket) He may have been the "wildest", but he was actually the most sincere to the culture. He grew up being one, and never wavered. Masta Killah is the ONLY one who still shows up to the parliaments we hold every month in Harlem. These dudes are all older than me, but I basically grew up around the nation since JR Highschool since my cousin was one before me and I saw a lot of stuff from being around him a lot . I had it different thoe, I was a "sinner" first, doing mad dirt in the streets, and then got knowledge, and its because the Gods was still teaching on Street Corners and in the Project Staircases and in the Jail cells.

Side note on Lord Jamar, his stint in OZ is not really liked. Most Gods Don't like the fact that he was butt ass naked on TV.

In some cases...Lord Jamar "took the money" or at least did not lay the law down that his ass cheeks is not supposed to be on the screen

Obviously your fully entrenched, me I know enough to dabble a conversation here and there but clearly am not up to date on pretty much everything. I've read The Five Percenters by Michael Muhammad Knight but that's as far as I've really went into it. The Lessons/High Science/12 Jewels of Islam was always intriguing to me.

The problem for me is that over time Killarmy/Sunz Of Man/Maccabees/Gravediggaz/Black Market Militia/Wisemen etc all sort of meld together for me. However with that being said... All Day.

To quote Kdot, how can I career get killed if it never started? Happy TroyAverage locked up. Dude was a disservice to the culture of NY hip-hop and has given the culture a bad rep for those with preconceived notions. Joey, Bas, Dave East, Action all rep NY better.

Troy Average got what he deserved. Karma came back to bite him.

First it was dissing Capital Steez after he committed suicide. He then had that same guy who was shot and killed attack ilovemakonnen at a concert. And now he basically brought back a dark cloud on rap concerts in NYC for no real reason.

Some of y'all may know that it was near impossible for rappers to even perform at Irving plaza. There was mad opposition to have rappers hold concerts there. It was only through T.I's connection with roc nation and thus live nation that this concert was even scheduled.

Troy ave ain't bout that life. If he felt he needed to carry a gun to this concert, he and his entourage shouldn't have attended.

Go join shmurda in jail.

The Makonnen thing was goofy to me. Low quality stills of a dude that looks like someone with BSB isn't proof IMO especially when they said they talked to OVO and cleared everything up and OVO didn't dispute that.

The Steez stuff was crazy though. I don't feel sad for anyone grown who kills themselves but there's no need to talk bad about a man who can't defend himself. Dissing him in the song was cool because beef is beef but the interview was bad.

All that said I don't understand why so many people are finding enjoyment in this man catching a case. The Gucci jokes are funny but too many people are too happy to see another successful black man fail. This isn't karma his karma is in his album sales. I remember when Shmurda got arrested I didn't feel bad for him at all since I know people from his block and heard about dude. This isn't that.

He's clearly about that life and as someone about that life he was going to perform and not let **** scare him out a show. Sad it ended up this way for him though. I'm not a fan and I personally think he's a piece of crap but this is sad.

I just hate rappers acting a fool and behaving like savages. It gives all of these racist mofos the ammunition they need to fuel their preconceived notions of minorities. You don't see musicians in any other genre getting involved in this f*ckery. Yo Yo Ma isn't out there trying to run up on Michael Bach. Slash isn't trying to kill Bryan May. Garth Brooks isn't going after Blake Shelton. It's just so embarrassing to have these ignorant ghetto MFs ruining things for everyone. I'm tired of it.
